Obviously all the store chains and Amazon reducing inventory before new iPad models arrive. Specially interesting when also the base iPad and iPad mini are included which some doubt would be updated earlier this year. Like Apple decided to do the M3 MBA first then all these iPads if I had to guess. M3 Mac minis should be close too.

Is it just my imagination or are we somewhat routinely hearing about "all time low sale prices"?
No. It is not your imagination by any means. It is what it is. I know better because I know how the game of advertising works. It's called "persuasive", "sense of urgency" and "autosuggestion" to trigger the psychological need to go and spend. Not me. I don't think these are great deals, to be honest. I rather purchase a model about a year or two older and get a loaded MacBook Pro for about nearly half the price of the latest and the greatest model, which may or may not be loaded. That's just me. I worked too hard for my money, and I'm very practical with my finances.

There’s next to no reason to buy an iPad “Pro” when you can get a MBA for $50 more.
My daughter bought me an M1 iPad Pro 11 inch for Christmas back in 2021. I never thought I will have the need for it due to being creative. I played around with it about 6 months after getting it and came to appreciate how far the iPad had come since its debut. I must admit that I'm impressed with the capabilities. Since I haven't picked up a pencil in over 20 years, I'm slowly but surely getting back into my creative side. Art is my forte, and I'm slowly getting back into it. At this point, I don't have the need to purchase or get another one at this point.

It’s a choice not a must compulsory

They are trying to clear stock of the old stuff to make way for the new stuff! If the Ipad Pros are on sale now...chances are according to rumors the new ones are inbound!

I appreciate MR continuing to highlight when there are sales. It's actually really helpful to keep track of. However, agree with others that the "all-time low price" language, when it's either 1) true, but matched a previous all-time low price (eg. Black Friday 2023), or 2) true, but it's regularly been available at that "all-time low price" (eg. 13" M1 MBA at $749.99 at Amazon and Best Buy) does feel a little too promotional / transparent.

The beauty of MR is that it's always felt like it's "for the people, by the people" energy. We're insiders, together. This small wording makes it verge onto feeling like this is just an ad / overly-promotional. I'm totally good for MR to get affiliate $ / support them when I need to buy by using their affiliate links.

But FWIW, I'd prefer if it kept up the transparent "insider for insiders", but just saying it like it is. eg. "This price matches an all-time low price which was seen just a few times, most recently in Jan 2024 / Black Friday 2023"... or "This price matches an all-time low price, though has been generally available off-and-on".

Still helpful, still true / accurate, still can entice people to buy if they need. But without the overly promotional / ad-like energy.

MR making a killing out of these BestBuy ads. Every couple of days nonstop articles LMAO! Come on guys, I am all for making money on ads but these are becoming too much and affecting the quality of this site. Let's restrain a bit.

IMHO apple spends too much energy on iPhones instead of other products. Everyone of us here can contribute suggestions on all the other stuff they make.

Even with iPhone, their best idea of the last 5 years has been a bigger notch and changing a switch into a button.

MR doesn’t control sales timing or frequency, but yeah it’s their fault.

Except for about a million extra apps on the iPad and a far superior experience for content consumption with built-in 5G connectivity anytime, anywhere. Not all of us are creating videos in Final Cut Pro all day. How do you watch YouTube on a Mac, stuck inside browser tabs? If you think that is a superior experience, delete all the apps from your iPhone and just use Safari for everything, from logging into online banking to checking stock prices.

Most would still opt for using a IPhone with a Mac laptop because of iPhone's hotspot capability. This million app argument is pointless, as IOS/iPadOS doesn't work like MacOS. Neither are you subject to Apple App Store only for anything additional that what comes with the OS involved. Sure we can use a iPad/Pro as a great deal cost-wise for what it represents/capable of, but it's not always the best solution for road warriors. I use all three as applicable.

so are you telling me MR is not controlling what they post here? lol My point was they get affiliate sales from these Ads and the amount of them is pretty overwhelming. Just today for example they have one article about OWC sales. Just saying, they could slow down a bit.
