What’s the best calendar app for iOS? I’ve tried the stock apple app and fantastical and like some features on each but was wondering which apps others use and if there’s any other recommendations.

What calendar app do you use?

Also have a look at Pocket Informant. Has lots of customerizations. Easy to use and the developers are open to suggestions.

I use Fantastical but have been searching around. I’ve tried others but can’t seem to find anything I like other than Fantastical. I paid for it back in version 2. But I will not pay for the subscription add-on. I refuse to pay for any subscription add-ons. There are a lot of good apps out there but they jumped on the high price add-on wagon. Most likely due to Apple’s 30% rip.

I use WeekCal for years and both my wife and I love it. We switched years ago when Apple made some changes. We enter our appointments either on our phones or iPads or use Google Calendar on our laptops and it all syncs nicely.

Same situation for me with this app. Purchased it full price before they went subscription... I am sorry, but $40/year for a calendar app is absurd. Consider the other software at that price point. And no, Apple is not to blame. Just pure greed is.

I've used WeekCal since 2011 but it looks like you now have to get an annual subscription otherwise it's rather unusable, hence I'm looking for alternatives. I might relent because I obviously really like WeekCal but I don't want everything in my life to be a recurring subscription, I'd much rather pay make a one-time payment even if it's a bit high.

I am on a mission to find the very best calendar app! With a one time fee or small monthly/yearly fee.

I had been using WeekCal since March 2011 but now that they insist on a yearly subscription I've been looking around for alternatives. So far, Calendar 366 is probably my favorite, yet to upgrade to Pro (one-time purchase) but I probably will. I bought Calendars 5 by Readdle and it's ok except for the stupid vertical Week view (7 days go down rather than across). I also bought BusyCal 3 but have yet to use it because I'm rather annoyed that I have to add my account details whereas the other calendar apps were able to just automatically work by syncing with my built-in calendar (which has the account details set up in Settings - Calendar - Accounts).

EDIT: if you go to WeekCal in iTunes and sort the reviews by Most Recent, you will see all of the recent comments are critical that the app is rather unusable now, that those of us that had previously paid for WeekCal Pro are being forced to pay an annual subscription. But I've just opened the app (first time for a little while) and it looks like they may have reversed their decision because most of the calendar views had (Pro) next to them and you couldn't use them, and you would constantly get a pop-up about getting a paid subscription. This is all rather annoying and I've paid $15 for other apps that I may never use.

IMO, if the app requires a subscription, it is automatically disqualified from being "best" of anything.

This is why I switch from Fantastical to Calendars by Readdle. I’m down with paying a one time fee but I just can’t pay a fee every month for a calendar.

I don't mind a subscription but if they indeed also offer a Full Pack in-app purchase I'd go with that.

Was this something they only offered in the past?

I like my new calendar app the developer is from The Netherlands! It works on all platforms. iOS, Android, Windows and works quite well. Plus color coded if you need it for a one time fee. Awesome.

Plus syncs instantly 24/7
