Leopard isn't a fail. There's not a single person buying a new mac and trying to find a copy of Tiger to put on it. Most of the people that had macs with Panther or Tiger have already upgraded. The ones that haven't are either the usual ones that always wait for a perceived "stable" version or can't afford it. There are bugs with all OSes when they first come out. For some reason, this time around we all forgot that. Of course, that's all beside the point for majority of users, who have had zero problems with Leopard from the start. It's possible to say Vista was an epic failure whilst Leopard was a success and not sound like a fanboy.

O really? + many others.

Most of the people that had macs with Panther or Tiger have already upgraded.

Got any facts to back this up?

The ones that haven't are either the usual ones that always wait for a perceived "stable" version or can't afford it.

So if they are waiting for a stable version that means that Leopard 10.5.0-2 so far is a fail

There are bugs with all OSes when they first come out. For some reason, this time around we all forgot that.

I certainly didn't forget that but I just assumed for example that perfectly working airport in Tiger is totally flaky and borked in Leopard is not a good sign.

Comparing Leopard to Tiger at relative stages Leopard is a massive fail in terms of bugs.

Of course, that's all beside the point for majority of users, who have had zero problems with Leopard from the start. It's possible to say Vista was an epic failure whilst Leopard was a success and not sound like a fanboy.

On what basis?

I mean throwing around baseless facts and sweeping generalisations doesn't make them true, especially when your baseless facts actually defeat your argument.

And who said that my post was a general consensus, not me. If I could at this point in time I would move over my work to a Vista based machine.

Spalding 'Never Flat' basketball

I was at a Modell's picking up a basketball and I was about to purchase a Spalding 'Never Flat'. However, I took a closer look and decided to push the ball to get a feel...

...well, all I have to say is: FAIL!

So if they are waiting for a stable version that means that Leopard 10.5.0-2 so far is a fail

Key word was "perceived." Many people believe that the release version of an operating system is so dysfunctional that it isn't even usable, so they wait for a random number after the decimal point to feel comfortable enough to "make the jump." Still others see small bugs that don't affect the majority of users and believe the OS is a fail. I hope you'll forgive me if I don't address the rest of your irrelevant drivel and attack.

FAIL! for continuing this conversation. Geez, take it to another thread.
