this one actually makes sense, it parking for people waiting for their orders to come up

we have two of such spots at the mcdonalds where we get breakfast every morning, they just have you pull up to the sign and wait if you have a large order or something

you really aren't meant to scrutinize such things... just appreciate the larger irony.

So is Helvetica -- and a lot of other fonts, for that matter. Try not to take the use of typography as a personal slight. I think the universe might have larger issues to address before it can rectify this issue.

It's just a running joke amongst designers. It shouldn't be taken personally. It's like making fun of a person with a mullet. Some mullets aren't that bad, and if that's your thing, great. But you probably should be ready for a little ribbing if you have one.

Nice! That one is funny.

I actually saw a theater with two screens that was showing the two films "The Hot Chick" with Rob Schneider and "xXx" with Vin Diesel. The sign just said Hot Chick and below that was XXX. I remember thinking, what kind of theater is this?!

"No escape from Reality...”
From the Zune Release - FAIL!

FAIL!

From the Zune thread:

NO, not with the Zune installer backdrop:

In a Q&A session with BusinessWeek last month, Ballmer offered similar sentiments on the wireless capabilities of his company's new digital media player.

"I want to squirt you a picture of my kids. You want to squirt me back a video of your vacation...

That's [an] experience," he said.

There's this gas station down the street from where I live called Thrifty, and get this, their prices are 20-30¢ higher than surrounding gas stations. There's an Arco down the street from there at about $3.90, and a Valero up the street at about $4.00, and Thrifty's price is $4.21. I tried to take a picture with my phone when I was at a traffic light right near it, but I was a little too far for it to be readable.

Ironic fail!

Texas, unfortunately.
I was trying to get a printer to work in Windows earlier today (Which may be one the most frusterating things I've ever tried to do) and couldn't do it, not suprisingly. I had to go to the Windows Help and Service Center to try and work it out.

While going through the many steps, I came accross this Epic Fail™:

I wish I would have taken a picture, but I erased a Windows 98 machine the other day and I got the following error message:

No keyboard is connected. Press 'esc' to continue.

I fail to see the fail. I guess its common here in SD.. we see a lot of thrifty, 7eleven, etc.. that have higher gas prices than the big chains like chevron, shell, etc..

the word thrifty = frugal person, inexpensive item, etc., which this place called "Thrifty" is anything but. Kinda like calling the big guy "Tiny", or the fat guy "Slim".
