Yes, absolutely. Here is Apple's support page for the Smart Keyboard in case you have not seen it.

It doesn't say much, but the important thing to remember is that pressing the Command key will display a set of keyboard shortcuts for whatever app you are using. I found this to be tremendously helpful for learning.

If you use Word, this page may also be helpful. I have not verified if all these shortcuts work with the Smart Keyboard.

Thanks for sharing the links. I do kind of know some of them from my MacBookPro I.e. The cut, copy and paste.

Well, I bit the bullet and, instead of trying to Jerry rig another keyboard made for the Air to work for this, I purchased the Smart Keyboard. Gotta admit. It's a lot better than I thought it would be. Best typing experience out of the other keyboards I tried out, too. And it actually works pretty well on my lap. That was my one real desire. A functioning keyboard that I can use on my lap. The iPad itself moves a bit, but it doesn't feel unstable or anything. Surprisingly so, really.

Glad you like it.

No problem. I think that was by design. Apple and MS wanted to make the shortcuts on the Smart Keyboard as similar as possible to the desktop versions.

Honestly surprised at how much I like it. Was expecting to have to return it. The keyboard is super easy to type on, too.
I really liked my Logitech ultra thin keyboard case for my previous iPad so I was expecting to be not so crazy about the ASK. However, I truly like the slim form factor and the feel and sound of the keys when typing.

Yeah, the sound is a great thing. It's surprising to me. I don't know, I just figured the ASK was going to be mediocre and a half-measure. I'm still most surprised in how well it works on a lap.

Thank you for that. I didn't know that pressing the command key brought up a list of short cuts. That's good to know. :)

Yeah, it works on the Home screen and on each app. Learn a few of these and you can really fly.

The two I use often are Command-H (Returns you to the home screen), and Command-Tab (brings up the App Switcher, just like on a Mac).
