1. Divinity Original Sin
2. Wasteland 2
3. Shadowrun: Dragonfall
4. (reserved for Mac release of) Legends of Grimrock II
...
10. Civilization Beyond Earth

And yes there is an editorial comment (or three) in there ;) But nothing should be considered to reflect badly on the awesome porting jobs you guys do :)

I haven't played a whole lot this year, so my vote goes to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. This game is basically stopping me from playing anything else right now (as did BL1 and BL2).

Yeah, it's a lot shorter than the other 2. DLC seems pretty lackluster. Farming is an issue due to lot of one-time bosses. Nonetheless, the game is fun, has the trademark humor, and fits well within the Borderlands series.

The other games I've played this year were older games. I would like to take a look at Geometry Wars 3 though.

Update

Whoah!

Thanks for all of the responses guys, we've got 2 days left and here's the total numbers from this thread and the reddit post and is only for games released for Mac in 2014. If you'd prefer to see the list purely based on votes despite release date then please let me know!

1) Hearthstone (8 Votes)
2) Divinity: Original Sin (7 Votes)
3) Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (6 Votes)
4) Civ BE & Wasteland 2 (4 Votes)
5) Tomb Raider & Shadowrun (3 Votes)

Looking down the list it's great to see how many games that everyone has put forward and just goes to show that Mac gaming is a thing and will continue to grow!

Special thanks to Blaire/Aspyr and edddeduck/Feral Interactive for all of the work they do to bring us great titles for Mac OS X!

There's still 2 days left of voting and I'm curious to see if there's gunna be much more movement at the top!

not sure if Guacamelee came out this year, but I enjoyed the crap out of that guy. Otherwise, I think the only 2014 game I've played for sure was Tomb Raider and it was great.

I've been trying to catch up on all my Humble Bundle purchases and most of those came out years prior. Rogue Legacy accounted for a ton of gameplay (on NG+3). Gone Home was a weird one. Weird doesn't begin to describe Jazz Punk. Still got a ways to go!

1. Tomb Raider
2. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
3. Chaos on Deponia
4. LEGO Batman 3
5. Wolfenstein New Order (if anyone would port it!)

My vote goes to Tomb Raider for number one and Hitman absolution for number two.

Thanks!!

One thing worthy of praise in this year of bug ridden releases is how 2K games seem to have avoided being plagued by problems (as far as I know) as well as some of the indie devs. If publishers expect to see day one sales they should equally expect to launch rigorously refined products.

My list is more a reflection of what I've bought and hope to play soon rather than games finished:

1) Shadowrun DragonFall
2) Jazzpunk
3) Vanishing of Ethan Carter
4) The Banner Saga

And I guess because I helped to fund it:
5)Phoenixdawn (for 2015)

For those of this taste among us, the gorgeous remastering of "Gabriel Knight" arrived this year, let's not forget.
