If you don't like the screen size of the Note 4, you won't like the screen size of the G4. The S6 is great, but it's definitely not for everybody. I can't make that judgement for you, but have a look at some of the negatives and decide whether they will be a deal breaker for you.

Right now I'm leaning towards the S6. The G4 UI is terrible, as MRU said, and putting a case on it will only increase the size and make it more uncomfortable.

My Note 4 is getting terrible battery life. I'm getting around 3:30 screen on time.

The Note 4 should have much more, right? It should get like 5 hours at least.

Yep. It should get around 6hours SOT, thats what I usually get.

Are you on 5.1.1? If so go to Settings -Battery -Power Saving Mode -Restrict Performance -just tick CPU, and see how it goes. It won't affect performance much if at all.

Maybe your battery is going.

Quick update.

Sold my Note 4 for 300€ at The Phone House and got the S6 black sapphire 32GB + official Samsung case for 269€.

That was a little over a week ago. Been playing with the S6 a lot and I must say I'm loving it. Best Android phone I've ever used, without a doubt.

So fast, perfect size, awesome camera, nice screen, excellent build quality, etc. Man, I love this size. No more phablets for me.

The fingerprint scanner works great. I'm getting around 3 hours screen on time. That was expected, but I'm getting better cell signal than on my Note 4, which is always a huge plus considering where I live.

Bought Spigen screen protectors, neo hybrid gold case, a dbrand carbon fiber skin and I'm looking to buy a powerbank to leave it on my car when I need extra juice from the S6.

Really happy with this phone. I hope Samsung stays with this size. Phones need to stop growing more and more every year.

Agreed and I was a phablet supporter before. Now I hope they revert the trend into smaller devices. I don't want the Z Compact and many midrange phones with jipped out cameras and specs being only the reasonable size.

What I hope Samsung does is make the S7 edge shorter. I think 138 mm in height and 70 mm in width is my max. Anything smaller would be sweet. But minimum of 4.5 inches and maxing up to "5-5.2. Like LG G2 size. Moto G late 2015 model is already getting too big for me. I prefer Moto E 4G 2nd gen dimensions but with better specs and cameras. A Galaxy edge in that size would be perfect for me but it probably gets slightly bigger again next year.

The midrange to entry level market are the only ones offering phones with reasonable size and price but with jipped out specs.

Yeah, the S6 Really is a great phone, not sure why it gets so much flak, to me it's the best "small" android device. I also think you don't have to worry about it getting bigger, Samsung seems to have settled on a size for both their Note and S line. Since the S4, they've stuck with 5.1" for the screen and 5.7" on the Note since the Note 3.

I agree there should be more phones of similar length and width. But I wish phones would grow in the thickness dimension to accommodate larger battery. Or manufacturers should start offering two variants of their popular 5" handsets: One slim, and one thicker with a larger battery.

Relatively poor battery is the only reason I have not bought an S6, and this seems to be a common issue amongst all 2015 phones that are around 5" in size.
