Hope you're going to like it! :) 24" 4K screens have pretty much all been discontinued since, with the manufacturers having shifted to 27" and larger sizes.
I am used to 24" screens, used them on my Windows PC in my gaming days. They're bigger than people make them out to be haha. I will post updates here on whether it works for me or not!

The thing is - the old 24" screens were usually 16:10 (1920×1200). The new ones are 16:9. So, they've become narrower.
Interesting. I don't think I've ever had the old ones. Screens seem to be getting more stretched out today anyways, it's like the phase where phones kept getting bigger and bigger

Oh… RIP. The LG 4k ultrawide is around $1500, which is more costly than my M1 MBA. And I want an ultrawide because there’s only support for one external monitor, and I need the extra screen real estate.
The 5120×2160 LG might not be ideal for you anyway because M1 Macs cannot do scaled (HiDPI) resolutions wider than 3008 pixels, so you’d be limited to 3008×1269 given the ultrawide aspect ratio. So a 16:9 4K/5K/6K monitor scaled to 3008×1692 would give you more screen estate. Even better in that regard would be Huawei‘s 3:2 monitor. That can be scaled to 3008×2005 on M1.

Oh, that's a bummer... I need wider screen real estate more than longer, and having support for only one true external monitor puts me in a tough position. Thank you for all the help regardless.

You can hook up additional external monitors via USB DisplayLink adapters.
True. It seems like a bit of a hassle though. Ideally I would still prefer an ultrawide in my setup instead of double monitors.

Got a M1 Air few months back for work, and it's incredible. Only problem?

When I connect it to any 1920x1080 monitor via HDMI the text is pretty fuzzy, which I can't have as I write a lot for work.

I figured a 4k monitor would fix this, but I need to be sure the text won't be fuzzy AT ALL.

Any suggestions?

So far, I'm looking at LG 27UL500, LG 32UN880-B, LG 27UL850-W, or a Dell U2720Q Ultrasharp.

P.S. I've scoured the internet looking for solutions to fix the 1920x1080, seems like M1 is just too powerful, so 4k monitor is best option :)

UPDATE:

I got the LG 24UD58 4k 24" Monitor. The text is very clear. It's great for me!
I have a macbook pro m1. I have two cheaper dell monitors. Both are 24". One is a regular HD, unsure of model, but the other is QHD 2560 X 1440, P2421D which is basically a 2k monitor. This one has great color and also excellent sharpness. Much less expensive, though not as desirable as a 4k.
