OMG how could I forget Thief! I remember how awesome it was sneaking around in the shadows, snuffing out torches with the water arrow, and how funny it was hearing guards getting nervous/suspicious. I would love to see a new one come out!

There have been 2 more since then.
Theif2, quite outdated. But there is also Theif3 which is quite good and still has decent graphics/

I love the Sim City too, especially Sim City 2000. Also i like some "tycoons", best one - Transport Tycoon. Similar games help me to relax. But if i need adrenaline i choose Unreal. Best 3D shooter, masterpiece!!

The original Quake. Just felt like evil resided on my hard drive.

Diablo Multiplayer-Seeing another real player on my screen also kinda freaked me a bit.

Being a Mac user who used to be a PC user does not mean you have to look at games nostalgically. ;) And I think you'll find there are a lot of Mac users with those types of early gaming memories. I started with an Apple IIe, had a great time Zork and other text adventure games. I kept it for 10 YEARS before upgrading to my first Mac in 1993, a Preforma 6300 and I'll tell you I have the most fond gaming memories of my first graphic intensive games. I'm thinking specifically of Marathon. This game was a real trip from the solo story to the multiplayer. I was amazed that 4 players could hook up their computers and fight each over a network, amazing! All the PC gamers like to talk about Doom, but Marathon kicked ass! :D And then there was the original Unreal, Myth, Myst, Warcraft, and other great games. I think that time of game development was very special because we were all virgins getting a taste of something completely new.
