It's the end of the year, so what are your top 3 phones this year? Sorry, would had put more phones in, but limited by poll options.

Can we change "Nexus 6P" to Nexus 5X/6P?

Also, can we remove iPhone? If we keep iPhone, this will just devolve into an iOS/Android debate, which can ruin the discussion.

Well, I tried to add the 5X but it won't let me edit the poll. Also, I think the iPhone needs to be in there, people just have to learn to have a mature discussion about it.

Probably fair to say it's some toss up between Note 5, Nexus 6P, and the iPhone 6S Plus.

For me, personally, S6 was my device of the year. Nothing really came close to pulling me away from it.

I was instantly impressed on first boot of my new Passport and Priv is Android, so I'll leave it vacant for this year.
Yeah there were a couple of other phones I wanted to put there, but I ran out of spots. I also wanted to include the Priv, Xperia Z5, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Nexus 5X, and Lumnia 950.

There were so many high quality phones this year, none really sticks out as head and shoulders above the others, but all are really solid.

Yeah, those are my choices as well.
I would have picked 4 choices, but as it was only 3 I went with what devices I currently have & use.
If it's good enough for the Olympics, it's good enough for me.

My choices would be between the note 5, 6s and 6p.

If I had to choose I would probably go with note 5. One of reasons is because of gear vr. I personally I prefer the 6p over the N5 because of stock Android. However being objective, the note 5 wins.

I'm gonna go for the S6 - really liked what they did with the design and materials, and the camera is very reliable. It also didn't get too big. Whatever I tried after it was released* never lasted and I ended up rebuying the S6 twice. I'm keeping it now until Marshmallow drops at least.

I also kinda gave up on phablets this year bulllat recognise the Note 5 and 6P were excellent too.

*Tried: Xiaomi Note, iPhone 6, Find 7, OnePlus 2, Note 5, Oppo R5s, iPhone 6s Plus, OnePlus X, iPhone 6s, Alpha, Z5 Compact.

So basically it's a dead heat between the GS6 and the N6P.

It's interesting, for sure. If you're about software experience, I would imagine you lean 6P, if you prefer top hardware (ie camera), you go S6

Edit: Spoke too soon.

My point was that my initial impression is that the best phone of 2015 is still the 2014 Passport.

Oh, ok. Eh, the Passport always seemed like it would be awkward to hold and use, same with the keyboard. I would really love to see a Priv Running BB10 though, maybe 2016?

Obviously I have the 6S plus and thats why it's my number 1. Best and most dependable phone for my needs. I don't have it but I really like the new nexus 6P. Would be my choice if i ever went back to an android phone.

My S6 edge experience sadly has put me off all future smaller samsung devices.

I was not searching for a keyboard, but it always looked interesting. It reminds me of a classic Mac.

The keys have a nice width, I think any other QWERTY would not do by be. Because it only has 3 rows of letters, there's not too much vertical space wasted. The virtual keys that appear to complete it at the bottom of the screen are great. And the keyboard also works as a touchpad. It is very well thought out.

The screen looks amazing. I still have to give it a real go, including browsing and watching videos.

When I first held the Note 3, it seemed a bit too wide. This does not seem much worse (and I guess that would not be the usual way to hold it).

I tried with one of my smallest back pockets, and while the Note 3 is too high, this fits very nice.

I just tried it in a usual shirt pocket, and it fits exactly (so I guess it would not fall when bending over). About a centimetre too high.

From the specs it looked awesome, having also 1700 and 700. And 13 (except AT&T version).
