Best program to design a business card/letterhead in?

Business Cards
I have designed business cards but u did not indicate size or design?
1. Use Illustrator
2. Save as .eps, w/300 DPI, and CMYK (Screens use RGB, Printers use CMYK)
3. Determine size
4. Draft, layout, and proof, and signed off from client
5. Complete final draft
6. Rastorize the final design (NOTE: content is now an image; and will not distort at printers when rastorized)
7. Take the final design to a printer for printing.
Very easy 90% of ads you see are made on illustrator on any given street.

It is threads like these that make me remember why I almost never look at this forum anymore. The smugness, arrogance, closed-mindedness of many here is extremely off-putting. I understand on one hand--this business is not easy and not terribly friendly or rewarding. It can lead to some major dissatisfaction--I do realize that.
I hope this is a lesson for the OP. I would never post on here for advice that involved anyone's opinions. A purely technical question, maybe. But only if I had thoroughly googled the topic to no avail. If we were sitting in the same room I would never let you take the kinds of tones some of you take when posting here.
We could do with the a little more politeness. Have you ever looked at the Web Dev forum? They are actually more or less civil to each other. It is refreshing.
