Cars are Locked and you have to play career mode to unlock them.
Has a quick race mode but not sure about license mode - not sure what that is.
If you want Gran Turismo I would just play it on the Xbox since the graphics will be way better along with the controls and such but I belive this is the closest for the iPhone. To tell you the truth I do not like Gran Turnismo since it is a bit too hard to steer, as for Real Racing I wasn't going to get it since I don't enjoy the Racing sims that much but with all the steering controls I enjoy it!
No Boost - that seems more like an arcade style game - NFS
Drifting - well you can turn sharp and if you steer right it will semi-drift, but not like NFS - thought I think the NFS drifting is kinda unreal! Actually NFS has a drifting challenge once you beat all game it unlocks a few drifting challenges, but once those are beat there is no reason to play the game since there is no wifi or multiplayer mode, I guess you can keep playing to buy the better cars but then you already beat everything with a worse car so it would be like super easy to win. in no way do I dislike NFS, since it is cheaper now I say go for it but I don't play it any more and I play Real Racing all the time!

If you want I could make a video to show you any of the features yo may want to see or just youtube it!
I see. I was hoping for a racing game that would actually replace my desire to get GT PSP (which isn't an xbox game at all, it is a PSP one).

I didn't mean anything by the Xbox comment I just thought you wanted Gran Torismo cause the game ha killer graphics and such. Is the GT PSP the next psp? I thought it was called PSP go or something?

GT PSP is Gran Turismo PSP (it used to be called Gran Turismo Mobile).

My vote as a seasoned racer

The top three are definitely: Need for Speed, Real Racing and Fastlane (no order at the moment). Do NOT waste your money on Asphalt4, I regret it even at a dollar - buy a song!

Need for Speed offers an excellent story-line that makes you want to play, and a lot of interesting racing methods (smash up cop-cars, normal race, damage things, elimination, etc.) and a fair bit of cars. Storyline isn't too long. Racing is great, though, but a bit controlled.

Real Racing (a bit too expensive, imo) is great, a lot less controlled, great racing, graphics on par with NFS (great), very fun but career mode a little boring as there's no interesting story like NFS.

Fastlane is great, fairly inexpensive and very challenging. Graphics are great (maybe a bit lower than previous two) but gameplay is great, cars are nice, controls spot-on.

Out of all, Fastlane for longest play-time, NFS for replay value and storyline, Fastlane for a fun challenge. If NFS was a fair bit longer with "free-roam" (just drive around like on the console games) it would be the definite winner.
