I bought a Velocity Solo (nameless on eBay, but after comparing online I'm pretty sure it's the velocity solo, few cards mount SSD's on the card) attached a Samsung 830 series 256GB SSD and installed it in a Mac Pro 5.1 - 2.8GHz Xeon, been reading up on the specs of the card, but didn't see a benchmark posted for it yet. So I thought I'd oblige. I'll be curious to see when they release a mk2 and what specs that'll have.

I have the same Crucial M4 SSD in my MBP and also in my iMac. It's not suited for either. The latest firmware causes it to crash a lot. I found the most stable is FW009. But still not perfect. Who knows when the next FE will be out and if it sorts these issues out.

Btw FW 009 was rock stable when using OSX Lion, but got worse on both machines when upgraded to OSX Mountain Lion

If I was to do it again I would look at a different drive
