u could use "iblank for ios 7 & ios 8"; anchor is (finally) in beta, but kinda buggy (here at least). should be a reality soon (fingers crossed). meanwhile, iblank at least works...

How do you go about getting the beta version, can't find any info on Google and nothing in Cydia?

I haven’t seen a release in so long for the new stuff like the IPhone X I’d done forgotten about it. I do pop into the JB section every once in a while to see what’s happening.
