I've been testing Twitterific 2.0 since it came out. It has some nice touches such as the extra search functions but it's still slow, timed out and couldn't post a handful of tweets and repeatedly locked up on me, even after a restart.

The cosmetic touches don't make up for the gateway iconfactory has it running through. Tweetie remains far superior.

Thought I'd share that I purchased Twitterville and am pretty happy with it. For now it has the same functionality of Twitterfon and a better looking interface.

I'll report back if I have any complaints.

I've tried twitterific 2.0. It's definitely better than the previous version(s), but I would still use tweetie (for both mac & iphone).

Oh, and its worth mentioning that for twinkle's development is on and off, so I wouldn't use it.

I've moved to Twitterrific 2.0 but I still use Tweetie on my Mac. I'm keeping Tweetie on my iPhone, though, until 2.0 comes out because it's going to be based off the Mac version code and is expected to be exceptional.

i like how Twitterrific looks and all, but there is just too much going on in Twitterrific, lol

TwitterFon is nice and simple, whats the difference between TwitterFon Pro and the regular??

I updated TwitterFon and when I upload a pic to twitpic, it displays it sideways, anyone else notice that?

You can't see followers in Twitterific. To me, that's a big failure right there. Twitterfon isn't bad for free but Tweetie remains the best.

Best multi-instant messenger / social networking client?

Okay, so I have an intel Mac (Macbook)... and I use Crossover, so I can run Wind0ze apps such as Digsby. I am trying to find something to use for Twitter, Facebook, Blogger (definitely those).

I have Adium for IMing for myspace, facebook, yahoo, msn, aim, etc

and Digsby (and with Digsby, Facebook - not the IM part, but the social networking part doesn't work)...

I need something for the following (and the asterisk are definite)...and interaction w/ social networks is nice too:

========================

Social Networks I use:
**Twitter
**Facebook
**Blogger
**Youtube
*Myspace
LJ
Hi5
last.fm
project playlist (playlist.com)
pandora
etc

=============

IM networks:
**AIM
**Facebook
**Google Talk
*Yahoo
MSN
Myspace

================

Clients I've used recently: Adium and Digsby
and with Digsby I ran via CrossOver... (CrossOver is used to run wind0ze apps w/o wind0ze on an intel mac, in my case my Macbook)
I use HelloTxt.com (the website from my web browser)...
<from my googling I saw that HelloTxt is in the process of working on an app). I've googled looking for apps, and have found: -Digsby (where Facebook the interactive social networking part of it doesn't work for some reason)... -I found a few apps that use Adobe-Air -I've found 8Hands -I saw the Flock Browser

What I finally decided to use....

• I use Flock, and Adium (the beta version...w/ the most recent update)...
And this works pretty good. I use Adium w/ hellotxt through jabber....

• I use Flock to do a lot with my social network accts.

• When I want to briefly see twitter (and hopefully eventually facebook)... I use Adium.

• To update my soc. networks quickly I use Adium, and just IM using GoogleTalk..(it can also be done in Gmail...) my status....I do it through HelloTxt.com:
hellotxt
www.hellotxt.com ... using the hellotxt service (after you sign up)... log in to your account, and set up your accounts, then under how to update click instant messenger...then follow the prompts from there... and voila.

Hopefully you Tweetie junkies can help...

I just broke down and bought Tweetie (even though I have Twitterfon Pro and SimplyTweet; must be addicted to buying new Twitter apps) and I saw in the description that it has themes, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to change it.

Help?

try settings, I tend to forget about that area too sometimes :eek:

So i read that twitter is making everyone use Oauth now for applications, should be an interesting change, lets see if it makes using apps more conviente like they claim
