I use Recorder (.99 cents) for lecture's in class. Mic picks up real well clear across class room and then I can wifi sync it to my laptop after school.
I also use Evernote (FREE) to take picture's of any white board notes and then label them for study. All of my written, picture and recording notes are then stored in evernote because of its access off line and gives me access to study what I need to study at anytime and anywhere.
