Or they have been replaced by new apps with same functionality.

JB is still very much worth it, do some research and you'll find out that there are even more apps and tweaks for as earlier.

Lot of OS & system enhancements tweaks are getting included, but Apple will not give System Tweaking stuff to us.. So, the number of JBs I use has decreased majorly, but I doubt if we'll ever see stuff that works outside of an AppSanbox like:
- iCleanerPro
- CaptureScroll etc.

Which is good design when it comes to keep MOST people away from System stuff.. but bothers people who want to customize or do a little extra.

Really? It's got to be some other issue.

I have about 20+ or so of my normal 60+ tweaks working. I have a 128GB iPhone 6S+. There are a few I am waiting on updates for, some that require some finesse, a few I no longer need and a few that aren't working as expected. But in general the ones I have installed are working.

Part of my issue is how to find what works with my 6s. It's not like their is an app store that I can just browse through. Yes I know Cydia exists, but it's very tough to just browse through and it's very inconsistent. Most apps that people on here say work with the 6 are not installable through cydia on the 6s. Even on these forums the thread about 6s compatible apps didn't get much attention at all. The best thing around was that Google docs list of compatible apps, but it didn't denote the 6s and also doesn't seem updated or very accurate.

Could I bother you to list out which apps run well on your 6s? I'd like to see how much of a selection I have.

Like??? The ones you don't see anymore is because Apple has implemented a similar thing into the os

Nightmode, Eclipse, Infinidock are just a few of the ones I was hoping for. Nothing like that on iOS at all.

Keep in mind I have maybe one or two that are installed but do not work - I'm waiting on updates to them.

Have you ever tried out Almpoum to replace ClipShot?

For RemoteMessages, does it crash/get disabled when sending a photo or accessing a conversation with images?

Edit: What does the "Show LTE Band in Status Bar" for CellularInfo do? I tried enabling it and I don't see any change in my status bar

No to the first question. I didn't know that existed. I will have to look, thanks!

As to the second about RemoteMessage, to be honest, I don't know. I installed it, but I have yet to try it. I was figuring that if there is any issues by the time I get around to actually using it there will have been updated to fix anything wrong.

Ahem. Well. Nothing.

Here's the thing about that. The dev for that app is a user on S4GRU.com, which is a Sprint-oriented wireless enthusiast site. I originally got the app late in the game because it sounded interesting (and I was still on Sprint). But some of the stuff Apple did later on for iOS 8 broke the devs app. He's not inclined to figure out how to fix it because working on this was mainly a hobby for him. On top of that it's designed to report things for Sprint signal so anything that isn't a Sprint signal it see as foreign.

I still use it because with Signal 2 broken it does still tell me which band I'm on.

is it important to know which band LTE your device is on?

No, but I was (am) curious. Sprint uses three bands for Spark. Band 25 (1900mhz), Band 26 (800mhz) and Band 41 (2.5Ghz). Band 25 is congested, Band 26 has issues of scarcety and the fact that some public services are needing to be sued in court in order to force them to vacate 800mhz and Band 41 is rarer still.

Back when I was on Sprint if I was suspicious in regard to my signal I could use that app (and Signal 2) to check what band I was on.

Now, with a Band 12 capable T-Mobile iPhone 6s+ this app will let me know whenever I run across the elusive Band 12 in my area.

God damn dude:D
You need to install some more hacks.
You only got a few:D
You think? I might be able to cram a few more in, LOL!

That's about a third of what I have normally. :D

Just waiting for some others to update. ;)

PS. Good thing I wasn't drinking my coffee when I read your post! :D

Let's say that I jailbreak my phone (iPhone 6s). If later I decide to sell the phone, will resetting the phone get rid of the jailbreak? Or do I have to do the DFU restore?

if you reset all settings, then it will fail the restore and go into an infinity loop or similar. You can restore using iTunes, no need for DFU mode.

So I successfully jailbroke my phone today. However, during the jailbreak the phone restarted (as expected) and iTunes opened up and created another backup. I did a restore from back up and it was showing the pangu icon. Then I jailbroke again. Now does this mean that going in the future, if I ever restore, I will always have the pangu icon and can I just delete it manually without any trace of backup (after a restore)? Hope this makes some sense.

When the jailbreak finishes you are not supposed to have the app installed. The cleanup afterwards is supposed to delete it.

Should be safe to delete it manually though.

Yea I was able to delete it. Then I restored but that showed the pangu app but no Cydia app. If I do a complete reset on the phone at that point, it should be safe, right (i.e. no infinity loop)?

I don't know. If Cydia is not there at all then it means the jailbreak did not complete - because it didn't install Cydia.

Don't know what to tell you. Maybe try jailbreaking again?

restore from iCloud instead of from iTunes
