But again you are the one in an Apple forum called macrumors so what are you doing here besides the obvious?

I'm not the person you're replying to but I visit this site because I use Macs at home and work. I'm an Android guy for my mobile devices though, so I visit the forum section that this post now resides in.

Just because someone visits an Apple-centric site does not mean they HAVE to use Apple devices for every part of their life.

@timeconsumer I use the forums at Androidcentral.com for my Android forum needs. Actually, I am part of the volunteer team there (so take my suggestion for what it's worth now that you know that).

I agree, but if you really want an android forum there's plenty out there more detailed and specific than a small subsection in an Apple forum;)
So if one is a smartphone enthusiast and not some zealot that only uses one OS, they cannot visit an Apple forum?

I use Android, iOS and Windows daily, so I frequently post in their related forums.

Funnily enough you ask that question yet here you are still at Alternatives.

Same here.

Can't stand iOS. No file/folder system. Love OSX. Works well with my phones with Android File Transfer. Drag and drop is a breeze. I don't necessarily need to use iPhones to visit a MacRumors site.

But for anyone needs more input with Android, Android Centrai forums is pretty decent. Many are iPhone haters though or used it before but hate the wall-garden stuff, boring homescreen, and lack of customizations. For tinkerers, XDA.

Yea I used to love to tinker, but now with a family and kids its just easier to communicate with IOS.

Example is my mom who has an iPhone and can facetime to see me or my daughter/ her grand daugther.

Trying to get my mom to use skype has always been trouble. With IOS and facetime everything is built in and easy to use.

It depends how much merit you place into such a website. So for some, if site XYZ reports something, that means a lot to them. Also, as far as the iPhone forum comment, I've been trying to find an equivalent Android forum to join for awhile now, but I have yet to find one that is as good as MR. The majority of them are so cluttered or convoluted, plus the Alternatives forum on this site has good information.

Same for me as well, I have yet to find an Android Forum that I like as much as MR. I switched over to Android with the note 7 and started my search then. Android Central was looking good but the whole way they handled the Note 7 issue soured me to them.

Still have a lot of Apple equipment in my daily life so I will always visit MR, just really would like a decent place for Android.
