i have a feeling apple is not releasing the fast charging update on purpose until AirPower is released. if fast charging was working already with other chargers, people would unlikely shell out for Airpower etc

I have the exact same one - same brand, same model, from Amaxon...actually two of them. I have the silver one that doesn't come with the AC adapter on my nightstand at home, and the black one with the AC adapter on my desk at work. Love them both so far. On my desk it's the perfect angle for Face ID to work.

Yup just setup the silver one near my bedside and I really like it. Might have to grab an upright charger for the office next

Yup. A 4 month delay (expected Jan 2018) for something that's essentially a flick of the software switch.

This is the one I'm using.

Just got this one. Solid. Works well so far. I got it for my office at work. I use the Mophie disc at home. That one works great as well.

I've heard that's the most cost effective charger and gets the job done.

edit - if I were you I'd pay an extra quid and get this one though

I have this at the office. It has a massive sweet spot so you don't have to be messing about trying to place the phone on the charger at the perfect spot.

That is why I am not planning on buying any wireless chargers until the fast charging capability comes to the iPhone X. Although it is a nice feature to be able to charge wirelessly, it is not a big deal. I only would get the AirPower.
AirPower is the ultimate and most worthy of wireless chargers.

Thats why I didn't buy wireless QI charger yet - I will wait until AirPower release so I can compare between 3rd party QI charger. I think it will take few years for wireless charger to overpower lighting cable.

Not sure which is the best one but I bought the Spigen Fast Wireless charger. It is perfect. I don't like those flat chargers I want to be able to see the screen easily.

Thats all

I’ve now heard from 2 manufactures that 7.5w charge is encrypted and Apple must give permission for manufactures to make chargers to accept a 7.5w charge. Sounds like something Apple would do. Guess we’re stuck to those 3 chargers for a bit unless we want to charge at 5w, there’s 2 million of those.

I have the the one above and the mophie charger for around the house.

Will get the air power mainly due to the charging my phone and the apple watch. Be ideal.

After doing some research, it looks like 7.5w is not much difference then the 5w charging speed. So I’ve came to conclusion, wireless charging is not fast enough to stop using wired charging and use only wireless. For now in my daily life I use wireless charging overnight, because it doesn’t matter how long it takes to charge, as long as it’s charged with 6-8 hours before I wake up. And for middle of the day usage, if I need a quick charge I’ll just use my fast charge option to get me 50% within 30 mins and that usually gets me through the rest of the day.

It will be interesting to see what they do. Apple seems to be going so slow with releasing new features lately and then running betas for a month or more when they do. We're just finally getting Apple Cash and iCloud Messages still hasn’t been seen, so the faster wireless capability may not be until well into 2018.I have the exact same one - same brand, same model, from Amazon...actually two of them. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/powerlounge-alexa-speaker-with-wireless-charger/. Should the anker wireless pad and quick charge 3 adapter fast charge an x? I have had my phone on for 2 hours and it’s only got to 50 percent.
