Been running the beta on my personal 7 Plus since it’s release. Also on my iPad Pro 10.5 since I got it. Zero game breaking issues, would have gone back to 10 if there were. I much prefer it to 10 in every way. Only issue I have is plex won’t stream video in the plex app but it works via the web interface.

I have been running ios11 on my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6S Plus since the first public beta and I’ve only had a few minor issues that I can live with. Far less issues than the ios10 beta where I had a number of apps that didn’t work.

I have been using the iOS 11 Developer beta since beta 1. I would say the stability has improved 99%, I only have very small and rare bugs now which have been reported and aren't major.

I'm waiting it will be a lot more fun getting something that works reasonably well then something thats just a mess, unless its just an extra phone you have then go for it.

I put beta 5 on my iPad, and it runs mostly okay. However it still has issues, like the screen sometimes not responding to touch in Safari and jittery animations.

Thus I'm not installing it on my daily driver iPhone; that device is WAY too critical for me. But since an iPad is a secondary device, it's fine to mess around with the beta there.

Remember to back up your data.

I think this Beta 5 may not be a good daily driver. From 3-4 days of use, I am having random glitches like
1. Phone hanging
2. Volume square icon stuck on screen
3. Orientation lock getting stuck
4. No sound while making calls on first attempt.
5. Wifi range issues.
6. Copying/selecting text in safari is bugged most of the time.

Other then horrible battery life, which seems to be the norm with iOS11 beta, there isn't a reason beta 5 couldn't be a daily driver.

I like it. And have it on my DD. Only thing I noticed so far is battery life seems a bit worse but still not what I’d call bad. Otherwise Very smooth so far on my iPhone 7.

The beta is running great on my iPad air 2, but on my 6s plus the phone goes hot realy easily and the battery drain so quicly that I can't use it as a daily driver, Other than that, the beta runs relatively ok for a beta.

This Beta for me is the worst one I’ve used since Beta 1. It seems to added more bugs for me than it fixed

Agreed. The horrendous passcode bug and the constant Safari reloading when changing tabs. A shabby release from Apple but even betas should get some form of QA. Maybe they released the wrong build as beta?

It’s actually been widely perceived that battery life is better in beta 5. Personally, yes on my 6S and iPad Pro 12.9

And now, to respond to the point of the thread, I’ve found this iteration of the beta to be a step forward in terms of battery life on both my 12.9” iPad and my iPhone 7. My phone is my primary personal device, and I do most of my work on my iPad. I have not run into any deal-breaking bugs (thankfully) that would force me to revert to iOS 10. Just to note, though, my iPad seems to be more stable than my iPhone. I get a lot of little nuisances in my phone—orientation gets locked, the phone crashes and reboots using google maps, etc. Nothing I’m not willing to live with, though.

No. Least stable iOS 11 beta yet.
I didn't install any of the betas this time, until B4, but yes - B5 is much worse than B4 (in my albeit limited experience). Just today, I had between 5-10 springboard crashes (I lost count) and I experienced several app hangs as well. Also, my phone (iPhone 7 Plus) has a nasty habit of taking 10-30 seconds to unlock after pressing the home button, which sucks.

I don't recall any previous OS versions having such inconsistent user experiences for Public or Developer.

Sheesh guess I'll hold off until the GM version is released.

It's been quite usable for everyday use for the iPad 10.5 since public beta 1

Can't speak on iPhone
