Where is beta 6? iOS is already on Beta 7. I can't even leave my MacBook plugged in without it freezing and having to force a restart.
Beta 6 has worked for the last 3 hours for me. I didn’t have many problems with beta 5, but use a lot of 3rd party apps.

No audiobook sync possible anymore.

Oh no...it seems you cannot log into macroumors forums from using twitter details on Firefox on beta 6...Works on safari, now why am I not all surprised by this...

Do not underestimate the misery a beta can cause you. I have learnt - and hopefully, after being burnt and then trying again several times, this is the last time.

I had a similar issue with the macOS beta back in 2013 or so. I was using DropBox to synch Scrivener projects, and somehow the beta “squashed” those projects and they no longer had any data in them! Which then got synched everywhere because of DropBox.

I’m eager to get on Catalina, but the iCloud Drive issues on the iOS side leaves me suspicious and has made me kept my distance.

Sorry to hear about your OneNotes situation.

Anyone having any issues on dev beta 6 with using messages?
The apple icloud messages work fine but sending externally (SMS) seem to fail

News which has never really worked for me on Catalina simply crashes on launch now.

Bankactivity which has been working through all the betas now crashes every time.

I wonder what they changed.

Mine is working mostly on a 2016 MBP, but iMessages seems to make the fans kick on and says it's using a lot of power. Just need to get that power management down on this app. Otherwise mostly stable.

Also Webex does NOT work.

I'm not a Catalina fan (I still have lots of 32 bit software that I intend to keep using, so Mojave will ALWAYS remain the "main OS" for my 2018 Mini).

But...

I've been installing the betas of Catalina on an external drive as they've come out.
The first few seemed unusable.
Around beta 4 things started to get better.

Yesterday I took a spare SSD and installed the latest developer beta onto it.
Runs very well.
(but again, it probably will never become my "main OS"...)

I have now found that it is possible to log in to the Mac Mini 2018 by booting with eGPU only if File Vault is enabled.

The screen with the Apple logo appeared and then I was presented with the login screen, it took a while for my mouse and keyboard to be used.

The problem is that after logging in the system the video signal is lost as before. :apple:
