My iPad 10.5 is running flawlessly since 9/12. My iPhone 6s, however, is often a bit slow and already had to force reboot it twice. For the iPhone I would recommend to wait at least 11.0.1.

If it wasn’t stable enough then apple wouldn’t GM it

I agree. I’ve been running it on my iPad Air. It is stable. The real issue is responsiveness. My Air is a bit laggy. I would expect more modern devices don’t have the same issue. That said, who knows if iOS 11 will ever be fixed in regards to any lagginess. So if you want iOS 11 it may be that you just have to accept that. You either update to iOS 11 or you don’t. Waiting for any laginess to be fixed may mean waiting forever.

Yes i would install it, cause i already did (GM). Been using iOS 11 since beta 1, through those battery draining betas & all.. iOS 11 as it stands as GM, is excellent (iPhone 7+)

Usually I wait to install a new version of IOS until the bugs are worked out but I am excited to try the new AR features on my iPhone and the new Files and multitasking on my iPad. Also it has been in beta for quite a while.

Is IOS 11 stable enough to install straight away on the 19th September on my iPhone 6s/ iPad Pro 10.5 ?

I've been on it for a couple of weeks or so with my iPhone 6 and am happy.

I installed the GM via public beta program. It has been real stable, however my battery drains like crazy. A clean install might do the trick (will try that on the weekend)

For me it is daily driver ready right now. One or two big apps have issues but I am sure they have iOS 11 optimized versions that will drop in the 19th and then it should be 100% stable.

Would a ‘Erase all content and settings’ suffice or do we need to reinstall ipsw via iTunes?

It'll most likely be stable enough to install, especially on your newer devices. The only reason why I wouldn't update straight away is there are still bugs in the OS and battery issues. But do as you want. I installed the GM on my 5s and it's been pretty good.

Um not sure that would work just yet since iOS 11 isn't released yet. You will need the ipsw and iTunes OR the beta profile for OTA updating. Best bet is to use the ipsw and shift/restore option in iTunes.

Very stable on my 7, but the animations take a hit in isolated situations. More noticeable stuttering. Some won’t notice, I do. Do not say it’s not there. Set up as new.

And the home button delay is annoying. It seems like every .0 release of late they screw up the home button animation in some way.

Overall, it’s good enough to be a daily driver. Not as refined as 10.3.3, but that’s to be expected. I’d wait for 11.1 or 11.2.

iOS 11 running on all iDevices, and High Sierra GM installed on MacBook Air - no big problems here. Occasional hiccup but that’s been the case for a couple of years now

I’ve just installed the GM for my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 7, so far it is very stable compared to the first versions of iOS 10, but not as much as one of the newer iOS 10 version of course.
It runs better on my iPad Air 2 so far than I expected of a device from 2014.

I started using beta 1 on my iPad Air 2 and it was getting better and better. You will definitely notice that Apple put its iOS 11 focus on the iPads. Meanwhile I swapped my iPad Air 2 for a iPad Pro 10.5 where I didn't install iOS 11 yet. Will do it when it's officially released.

But I couldn't wait on my iPhone 6s and installed the GM and so far it's not satisfying...
it's stuttering and slow in app launching and closing...
Personally I would wait till 11.1 which will probably released in November with the release of iPhone x.
