After the update my music was there but for whatever reason it was downloading songs and albums (probably the ones that were not fully downloaded before). After playing with the app, it suddenly crashes.. after that, gone!!! my 60 gb of offline music was not there anymore, even the space on my 128gb ipod was now free!!! I hate those Apple Music bugs it's over and over again it's never stable!!!!

I bought an expensive Ipod to have all my music offline and subscribe to Apple Music and since day 1 it's driving me crazy!!!

Same thing, I don't know if there is anyway to redownload everything or sync from Itunes. I don't want to download them one by one!!! It's so frustrating!

Here's the workaround I used, and it should work for you if you're using iCloud Music Library on both iTunes on your computer and on your iPhone/iPod.

1) Create a new Smart Playlist (or just select all songs and add to a playlist)
2) Match all rules (again, you may be able to just select all songs and add to a playlist instead)
- iCloud Status is not Ineligible
- Media kind is music
3) Let this sync with your iCloud Music Library
4) Open Apple Music on your iOS device, and find this newly created playlist
5) Click the iCloud Download icon at the top of the playlist

That got all songs back on the device for me.

The issue likely doesn't affect everyone, but it has happened to a few people. I have been unable to determine why some are affected, or why only certain songs are removed.

I understand. I'm just saying its not everybody. My total music is 7.6GB. I wonder if that matters compared to others.

Just to let you know that my music was there after the update. It's after playing with the app for 10-15 minutes then it crash. After the crash all my offline content disappeared. I am trying ANZIO solution as I have over 9000 songs to resync but it going crazy... songs are downloaded, then removed, etc... I will leave it downloading for the night and see tomorrow! Fortunately I have a 150gb download limit.

Oh I know. Sorry. It sounded like I was refuting against your post, but that wasn't the intention. On the side note, your music library is almost 3GB bigger than mine. Looks like I have some catching up to do. :p

Nope nothing, currently got Apple Music support peeps looking at the issue, don't think it's a bug, will report back once i get an answer from them :)

Please report back and let us know how you make out! Hopefully it's not too involved of a fix. Good luck!

After downloading iOS 9.2, all of my music downloaded by Apple Music for offline use is gone. My music purchased previously on iTunes is downloaded on my phone, as it was before. Anyone else seeing this??

This just happened to me. I restarted my phone after it drained my battery 60% from trying to download an album, and all my music was gone. It's currently downloading everything for offline play again. WTF Apple.

This happened to my girlfriend on her iPad Mini 2 as well now, all music downloaded for offline play disappeared and needs to be redownloaded.

However it's heaps easier to keep all your music (and new music) downloaded to your device with the new handling of offline music. I went to General>Storage>Music and swiped right to delete all stored music, then followed this YouTube video

Remember there’s this feature that will delete some of your stuff if iOS does not have enough space to do over the air update? Maybe Music is the one they deleted.

Super bummer since both my new iPad (that I worked for two days to get all my music there) and my 6s lost all my offline music.

I have to redownload all of them. All 1200 of them. EACH. Both my iPhone and iPad. Our connection sucks and this will take a very long time.

It seems that people are having a confusion on who's experiencing the bugs.

I experienced what the OP is stating. I am an Apple Music subscriber and have about 8GB of music made available for offline listening from the Apple Music catalog, but what's odd is this: I lost music made available offline from the Apple Music catalog when I updated from iOS 9.1 to iOS 9.2 Public Beta 1.

I don't remember browsing a thread about that here on MacRumors about a month ago (when iOS 9.2 PB1) was released but have encountered someone who experienced the same issue as I did on reddit.

The trick with the playlist doesn't work for me! I have more than 9000 songs in this playlist. When I start the download, it seems it's copying some files then it jumps suddenly to a small numer like 500, then jump to 10000, it's complety crazy. So this morning I am starting to download them artists by artists. If I'm lucky by Christmas it will all be downloaded!

It looks like the download is sometimes stuck on some tracks, these tracks are downloaded but the circle still appears in the download window. I have to quit the app and start it back to remove them from the list.

I had just over 2000 songs (20GB or so) and my phone was quite warm for awhile downloading it all. Even after the few hours it took my capacity isn't what it was before, so I'm probably still missing music.
