That Ultimate D&D Collection is looking good...

My backlog of games grows.

Only game I've really wanted to add to my collection was Kingpin: Life of Crime. For $5, I couldn't say no.

Ugh, pulled the trigger, bought the D&D collection, and also Wing Commander 1, 2, and Privateer.

I already have all the D&D ones.

Opened the wallet for the Hero Edition of Pillars of Eternity, which gave me some store credit so got to see what I can buy with that now :)

Any suggestions on some of the older rpgs? The orthogonal views of these games never appealed to me but for the price I thought I'd try one of the classics everyone says they love (Baldur's Gate 1&2, Neverwinter Nights 1&2, Icewind Dale 1&2, etc)

Do any of these have an open world or voiced dialogue? I saw one of them has multiplayer, I'm not sure about some of the others.

At that price just buy the lot don't think you can wrong really :)

I've played probably half of the D&D games, but it's cheaper to get the whole pack. When I removed BG1+2, NWN, etc. -- the price actually went up.

Lol, still I need to know which one is the favorite of the bunch to have a place to start. Which has the best gameplay, story etc. Are any of them open world?

Want story? Planescape Torment. Gameplay? Icewind Dale. A mix of both? Baldur's Gate (specifically 2).

And yeah, they're nonlinear, open world games, though not in the same way the Elder Scrolls games are. You don't crawl through miles and miles of wilderness to reach the next town. Rather, you move between locations of interest on a map.

Well, at £0.99 how could I not pick up Stronghold HD.....just need to complete my (re)plays through BG, BG2 & IWD and then I'll get to it.......honest, I will :D

Planescape.

It's probably the most linear of the bunch though. Most of them are fairly linear. Of course, there's side quests and what not, but there's a main quest you complete in a specific sequence.

Loads of great stuff as always ... though I seem to have most of the ones I am interested in ;)

The one that confuses me is Jade Empire ... I bought it (Direct2Drive) for Mac years ago, and at least I backed up the DMG ... and also have it on Steam (PC only) but would love to grab it on GoG ... but also PC only. Not sure what happened?

Jade Empire is one of those games in my Steam library (on PC) that never worked. I double-click on it to start it, and nothing happens. :( It's a shame, I recall it was well-received when it was released.

It doesn't look like Windows 7 was officially supported. Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP?

Yep, same thing for compatibility mode as well. Nothing, not even an error. I think I paid all of $2 for it so not too upset, but I do like Bioware RPGs.

Never got around to trying it. My backlog of games is so long that I didn't bother. Stupid sales!

Strange, Jade Empire have always worked fine on my win7 x64.

I'm thinking I'll try it again after I setup Bootcamp on the iMac. I had tried it before on a different system.

I grabbed Two Worlds for $1.99. I seem to remember this title, but don't recognize the scenery. Still downloading. Is this a wide open RPG? Are there allies and invisible walls or can you go anywhere you want to? Can you fall to your death? And is there coop? :)

It is pretty much open world with loads of stuff and plenty of chances to get in over your head. Balance is crap so you start off getting bullied by kittens and end up one-hit killing elder dragons :)

Yea, I had some store credit so I took a punt on this :)
