I have a very big issue but I think it's a general iOS/MacOS issue and not just the iPhone X.
I bought a couple of weeks ago a second handed iPhone X 256 GB (my last iPhone was a 5s some years ago), and I have a Macbook Pro 15" 2017, both updated to the last version.
I don't want to use iCloud photos, I use Google Photos for my phone pictures, and I like to have a jpg copy of my edited pictures from my camera (A7RII). In Android, it's so easy, you just need to drop a folder in the phone, and that's all. In the iPhone, I'm having a nightmare to sync my edited pics from the camera in their folders using iTunes. First of all, only one level is recognized in the folder structure, but well, that's not such a big issue. The issue is, the synchronisation does not work properly. All the time, iTunes is giving different messages like "the sync could not be completed" or similars. Some days ago I managed to delete the iPhones itunes photo database with the app phoneview in the mac, and for the first time, i could complete a sync. But some days after, i added some more pics to synchronise, and again the issue came.
I've been googling it and it seems several people have this issue. I feel it's so easy to do everything in Android and in the iPhone...

I also wish I could install kodi as I use in Android, or GBWhatsapp...

I could not get used to that notch so I returned it for the 8plus. Very excited to see how the notch is removed in later models.

Biggest issue? FaceID.

I actually love the feature, but it doesn’t work in two very specific, but daily scenarios.

If I wake up in the middle of the night to look at my phone, or first thing in the morning, it absolutely does not work. Even after 2 months of “training” it to look at my apparently hideous tired face.

And in sunny conditions. Living in FL, this is an issue constantly if I’m outside. And if I’m wearing sunglasses? Forget about it. Doesn’t work.

Miss touchID for these reasons. Other than that, absolutely love the phone.

Edit: one more thing that annoys me. Not so much with the phone, but with app developers. There’s quite a few apps that aren’t updated for the new screen. I know it’s normal when Apple changes the design, but apps like Inbox by Google and Chase bank are two I use every day, and it’s just awful to use these with the X.

My biggest peeve would have to be the fact that on the home screen the time is in the upper left "horn", and the connectivity symbols on the right. If I could flip those, I would in a heartbeat. Then again, doing that could end up cluttering up the right hand horn, so who knows which would be better in the long run.

As far as peeves go, though, this is quite minor, so I think I will be able to cope and adjust.

Those are a couple of shots I found on my phone. I’ve deleted a lot of the blurry pics by now

Looks like too long exposure to me for the speed of movement. The non-moving parts of photos are fine. Are you using flash?

You need to either use flash, or light the room more

With low light depth of field is very thin. In the first image, your son was in focus but not your daughter. Same with the second image. You camera locked focus on the red object and left your daughter out of focus. If you would have touched your daughter’s face on thE screen, it would have move the point of focus to your daughter’s face.

Others are right and you need more lighting. Try turning all the lights in the room or go to a room that has more light. Kids are tough and interior shots are not easy with their movement and trying to get that perfect shot. All I can say is practice with you controlling the focus point. Does not cost a penny and you can erase what you do not want.

TheRe is a tiny bit of blur from movement in your daughters second image, but mostly, it is out of focus.

Try the SwiftKey keyboard. I find that works for me on the X using swipe gestures, rather than trying to hit small keys.

No need now, I am back to my very comfortable 8+ and loving it.

The notch will never be removed, three reasons:

1. It's necessary to have the sensors and camera where they are.

2. It's the iPhone X's signature look, sets it apart from the Craigslist crowd.

3. It's not preventing sales one iota.

You always talk about the "Craigslist crowd" as if a ton of people don't buy secondhand iPhones on the cheap.

I surprised nobody mention the screenshot with volume up+ and power on.... very annoying
at least I take the screenshot by mistake 3-4 times a day

I think it was a big mistake to move the power on button from top to side opposite volume buttons. I sometimes inadvertently switch off the phone when I am trying to adjust volume, or using those buttons to take photos. But that is nothing new - bad change introduced with iPhone 6

Never say never.

Regarding #2: it's the signature look today. That is no guarantee it will be the signature look in years to come. The original iPhone had a signature look which gradually morphed into what the X is today w/ no "signature" round home button and nearly bezel-free.

Regarding #3: Well first, are there any reliable scientifically performed surveys that show the notch was not a barrier "one iota"? I'm not aware of any. Clearly tens of millions did not care, but is there a large group that did not buy the phone because of the notch -- because of the look or because of how the notch encroached on video? Probably. But without a good survey we are all just guessing.

Regardless, at some point, even if the notch may not "prevent" sales to millions today it won't attract new customers in the future, and new customers, i.e., growth, is the name of the game. Then Apple will redesign the phone to satisfy consumer preferences.

You always talk about the "Craigslist crowd" as if a ton of people don't buy secondhand iPhones on the cheap.

But that's exactly what I mean. I've sold about a dozen of my families iPhone's on Craigslist, it's where people without decent credit and working papers go to buy their iPhones, at least that's the clientele I've always met with sweaty hands of cash at Starbucks.

With the old forehead/chin design all iPhone's looked the same whether you were a cleaning girl or a CEO. The iPhone X changes all that. It's a luxury phone for a luxury buyer. So when people say they have an issue with the notch on the iPhone X they need to understand it's a design feature that differentiates it from the used iPhone's that have flooded the market these past 10 years.

That or looking for a second hand that's not a store.

There's nothing wrong with Craigslist. Hey, I bought my iPhone X from a Craigslist seller when my preorder was pushed out until December and I couldn't wait the extra month. But by and large, those who buy iPhone's from Craigslist or other sources of used phones are looking to get one on the cheap and that's why there are so many people using them. Apple is a premium brand and so the notch is a good thing for its premium iPhone.

I do tap the screen and even hold down to setup AE/AF shots but the slightest movements by the kids or subject blurs the crap out the image. It annoys me that’s all.

Hardware wise the notch is still annoying.

Software wise I wish it took as sharp of pictures, had PIP and split screen like the pixel 2.

If I’m lookging for something to complain about it’s that there’s no physical “home button” to let me know what is the bottom and top of the iPhone X. Another thing is that I have to lift it up and basically look at it straight forward to unlock it.

I didn't say there is an issue...

A couple of months in - nothing to report. Great phone.

All the frothing skepticism here about Face ID and notches and glass backs was - dare I say it - a nothingburger!
