Hi,

has anybody ever had an issue with a 1 inch black border around the whole screen?
I tried to google and I found lots of people who were experiencing the same, but in none of the threads I could find a solution...

Macbook Pro 2015 15" Retina - MacOS 12.7.3

I have tried:
Rebooting - regular and in save mode
Quitting all apps
no other displays conected (nor have ever been)
switched through different display resolutions
no mirroring active

I think that's it.

Maybe has a good idea?
Thank you and best regards

Hi.
No. And never have been.
Or at least ... I don't know.
I am/was never not connected physically.

Can this happen by chance...automatically?
Where can I see, if I am mirroring? Accidently.

You aren't talking about the bezels, are you? The bezels on the 2015 15" MBP are about an inch thick. They aren't thin like the newer Macs.

This is what the display on a 2015 15" MBP looks like. Is yours similar, or are you seeing black bars on the LCD screen itself?

Oh man... This is exactly what I was talking about.
It is just the bezels. Causing the confusion.
I am a little embarassed but very happy at the same time! 😊
Thank you for quick help.
