Ditto...I've had mine since March 2008, and it hasn't had any of those problems either. And I'm still on my original battery after almost 900 cycles!

I wish they would make them again as well...the white was just doesn't look as sweet.

Yeah- I just like how much easier they are to keep looking nice. And yes, I'm still on my original battery too, but mine is a little newer.

Lets see...

Taco Bell, CHECK!
Mountain Dew, CHECK!
Kyser capo, CHECK!

Blackbook, CHECK!

Looks good to me :D:cool::D

Hehe, you forgot to mention the banana box, the WD MyBook with the (wrinkly) plastic still on it, and the PowerMac G4 sitting in the background lol

Looks like a Dunlop-style trigger capo to me.

You are correct, good sir!

Nice, clean setup! Your BlackBook still looks brand new!!! One of the rubber feet on mine is slowly disappearing (don't know how.. ) and the bottom is pretty beat.. :(

I had a Blackbook that I sold to an old manager. It was my first Apple computer, and I believe I got it off of the refurb site. That being said, the only problem I ever had with it was a bad inverter for the screen that caused it to flicker, which was fixed under warranty.

Other than that it was a beautiful machine. And with a black iSkin keyboard cover, and black trackpad protective film, the topcase looked brand new. No oily slicked trackpad or keyboard. :) I recommend both items to any Blackbook owners!

I agree your black macbook looks almost brand new. Incidentally that desktop keyboard in the foreground is the best keyboard Apple ever made.

I'm glad it looks brand new, the photo is three years old! It was new then. I'm a Macbook Air owner now.

I never liked the keyboard actually, all sorts of dust/hair and stuff got under the keys and was disgusting after a couple months.

That is true bout the keyboard. It did collect a lot of hair, crums from food that you happened to be eating...:D I loved it anyway. I loved the feel of the keys and it was far more comofortable for me then the flat flush keyboard the Apple makes today.

Wrong.

The Apple Extended keyboard is by far the best keyboard Apple has ever made.

First Macbook I actually owned, got it before I started uni early 08, upgraded the ram last year, still going strong. Didn't even think about upgrading and kept it around just for the sake that the black ones are rare.

Sadly, my wife spilt coffee on it one morning whilst I was asleep.

We were curious to see what was inside so this was what happened...

Now I've never had an attachment to material things but it saddens me to do an 'autopsy' of sorts, like doing it on a family member if you will.

I have a black first gen with a white 2.16ghz mid-07 logic board in it. For the guy above me, completely disassemble it and clean the boards with iKlear (I am serious, it eats through all gunk) and then clean throughly with alcohol, it'll probably work fine then after a new top case (too hard to clean).

Nice keyboard cover...I should seriously consider getting one of those to avoid keyboard marks on the LCD...

Too late, nothing was recoverable. Half a cup of coffee, on top, over the keyboard. Got myself a new MBP.

Its just nonsense spam - look at his 3 posts (unless theyve been binned) - all were nonsense pretty much. "Computer is an electronic machination" was in a different thread.

In other news, anyone know a reliable UK source for Black MacBook cases? (I want to replace half of my White MacBooks case with Black Parts to form a "ZebraBook" as I think their called) - or even a BlackBook (I can always move bits between the 2 cases as their identical - Mine is an Early 2008 WhiteBook).

That sucks. I spilled an entire tall glass of chocolate milk on my first gen mbpro keyboard, milk was pouring out through the ports. Gave it two days to dry, worked perfectly ever since.

LoL! My aunt had a blackbook that she spilt milk on. Same deal, dried it out and worked fine. But now here battery died because she never unplugged it..lol.
