Black Ops On your mac... Whos getting It?

I was seriously thinking about it as it is easier to obtain but I decided to get an Xbox 360 with the game instead as Modern Warfare 2 was brilliant on the 360 (better than PC & PS3 IMO).
 
Dam I was actually going to buy an xbox too only for reach/easkate/and red dead. but Id prob just end up selling it like i did my old one. I think black ops will be good for my macbook pro and it will have dedicated servers :cool: lol

Just for me personally, I really enjoy playing my games with a keyboard and mouse. For some reason I just can't get used to the controller. 
 
i would get it for the xbox but it broke and i dont have bootcamp either soo i think im just gonna start working on a port for it using wineskin
 
just got it for my ps3 on a 51"tv and the sound through an onkyo 906 with 7 speakers and 2 subs no compute can match this sensation.
 
I don't really like FPSs much, so I don't think I'll bother. I know people are really fanatical about COD but personally I find it a bit boring to be honest.
 
it should run fine on the 2010 MBP 13" as CoD MW2 runs great on it, I tested. But right now BLack Ops is having a lot of optimization problems that needs to be patched.. =(
 
Got it installed on my MBP 13 2010. Not 60 fps but very playable. After a couple of optimization patches should be pretty good.
 
im running it via bootcamp. 9400m and its completely unplayable. MW2 ran pretty good in comparison :(
 
I think part of the problem is effects like bloom are on by default and there is no way to turn them off. Poly count hasnt been optimised (guessing)

Cant believe im gonna have to drop £1200 upgrading my imac to play this. when COD2 ran ok. Hope i can get a refund on steam?
 
no I just going to play it on my mac without using bootcamp

Call of Duty 2 and Black Ops are not comparable. The engine behind the latter is far newer.

Question about your 100mm macro lens, is it the newer L Series Lens? If so, i heard talks about the full life size close up with this lens. is this true with this lens?
 
I got it and am playing it on my 15" late 2008 MBP (9600 512mb). It's running ok, but definitely not as well as MW2, which I could surprisingly run on almost all full settings. Hopefully there are some patches that make the game smoother in the next little while.
 
Those with 9400m, do yourself a favor and skip this. I even tried 800x600 all low and super tweaked config, and it's still rather unplayable.
 
got it, i have a macbook pro 13' 4gb ram, i got it january 2010. it has the most massive lag ever while playing, even the single player. i was wondering if its the game or i need a better graphics card or just upgrade ram or something?
 
Tried playing it just then on my 2010 i7 MBP, 4gb Ram + 27" ACD

Plays OK, thought it'd be a lot better tho,
Got up to the vietnam bit, sound was cutting out and i kept dying cos of performance issues guess ill wait for patches
