how long have you owned your rmbp?
My current one, almost 2 weeks. I've went through 2 exchanges for various reasons and they all had backlight bleed. The one I have now is by far the best but it's still there. I was slightly tempted to try again, and I still have a few days to do so but I probably won't...unless there is a good chance I get a screen without bleed.

I have a new issue with my battery that ill be posting. :/

This! I wonder why consumers are accepting less than "retina-class-as-advertised" displays. If Apple wants to convince us that they're selling high-end computers in the Pro line, they must accept the consequences of selling something as "top-notch", that is, they have to deliver a top-notch product.

Excuses like "this is the normal functioning on wLED-IPS technology" is definitely unacceptable.

But it's not even completely the byproduct of the display technology. It's more than the backlight isn't completely sealed and light "leaks" around the display panel and shines parallel to the panel, rather than from directly behind it.

Wow that was bad English.

I honestly don't know, it doesn't look as bad in person. You can definitely see a tint of some colors but its amplified in the photos. What does that mean?

It means you are looking at an over-exposed picture of a screen. Hardly a good mechanism to test anything by...

well, I own MacBook 12" 2017 top model. and you know until 2023, I never know that my screen has same problem as in this post. :p
as observe, in normal lighting condition, it is quite unnoticeable.
It is noticeable if I turn up brightness more than 50% in dark room which is not normal usage. normally in dark room, I always set brightness to minimum level.
