As a seasoned photographer I’m quite excited by the XSs abilities. Though it doesn’t replace a DSLR just yet. You just have to zoom in to realise that.

Number one is XS. Handling the shadows and highlights better to give a consistent midrange boost.

With the first pics, I prefer pic 1 because it’s a bit brighter. With the flowers on the table, I really can’t tell a difference.

1 is slightly better but, I think both are superb.

Well, there is a difference to be seen. Anyone can see the difference. I preferred number 1 for it’s better handling. If that turns out to be pure luck. So be it. But the OP said “1 is the Xs and 2 is the Xr”

Aren't they the same cameras? I am confused.

Same cameras, but there's most likely sufficient human variations here to explain the differences even with the cameras being identical. Not shot at the exact same instant from the exact same spot for example.

How is it the same camera? The OP said it was XS and XR.

Oh, wait I get what you’re saying. I was thinking illogically.

But even so, any two cameras are never the same.

Yea, I get that. I guess I just didn’t see why we were comparing pictures from the same camera.

It was a horribly pointless test that could have gone either way. I think now that all the data has been collected and evaluated, we know as much as we did before it all began. It was still a harmless and entertaining thread. Better than most around here.

Fair point. I was sitting there trying to distinguish, but then realized I’m looking at the same pictures from the same camera haha.
