$25 to transfer to another server, $25 to switch character genders?

Yeah, i call that greed.

Greed? I don't really think so. They could charge $5 to do anything, or even just let you do it for free. But they don't in order to bypass the headache of people switching servers, genders, etc on a regular basis. I think they put the prices at those points because for one, they're not unreasonable. You already pay $15 a month to play. A few dollars extra shouldn't hurt anyone's wallet. For two, it's not an amount you're going to just scrounge out of your couch either. It's a deterrent to incessant switching.

Some people are cheap. You just can’t satisfy them. They want everything for free or pennies. When you pay $15 per month to hang out with your friends online vs. whatever it costs to hang out in the streets and movie theaters (esp. at today’s rates) and compare popcorn prices to hot-pockets, you will see how “expensive” WoW is. Please…

my dad's friend is a graphic designer for Blizzard/Activision, and he was put on a "new" project a month ago... he wouldn't tell me what it was... but he said the game is set in the future... he's been working on the drafting stages of the environment portion of the game apparently.

i have come to a logical conclusion that it will be based on Starcraft.

And the fact that you posted as much as you did on an internet forum explains why your dad didn't tell you anything.

Didn't Blizzard say the game would not be built on any current franchises?

And then there is the WoW MOVIE, but at this point I don't want to get excited. Too many opportunities to be disappointed.
