Blu-Ray Drives in an iMac

What do you mean with "enough power"?

I have a late 2006 iMac 2.16 ghz. What I mean with the power comment is that I only use the drive to rip movies in a virtual machine but I do not play them. The virtual processor is not fast enough for that. To play the discs you would need to run boot camp so you could get the full processor power. I am using microsct vista with the drive which is only a reader.
