Okay the issue has been found, the hard drive was failing. Unfortuantly they had to order in the part so it wont be ready until Monday.
I want a free country for this :p.

Monday came and went, Tuesday has now gone and I am now waiting for todays sun to rise. I better get the fricken thing today, I am so pissed. 1.5 weeks without a computer, during holidays (2 weeks), with **** loads of work to do! :mad:

Just a thought. If it's only a bad HD, couldn't you just boot from an external FireWire drive in the interim? Yes, if you don't have one already you would have to buy one, but it's always good to have one around.

I tried out Tiger on an external drive before upgrading my internal drive.

Well there are to problems in that, a) I want a fricekn HDD in the computer as its meant to be b) Its getting the HDD replaced c) I'm not spending money on a firewire drive that I dont need.

Still waiting for them to call... going to call them soon I thinks...

Yellow: The iMac G5 is a great machine, though I am having buyers remorse and wish I got the Powermac instead.
