i guess a macrumors ghost stole it anyways, here's the link.

Ah those pictures, I also received those & put them on the topic thread  . But I've heard of that ghost too! Makes it hard to find things at times. Very vicious fellow.

So is dawn + warm water better? I dont have dawn but if its better I will buy it.

Thats just what I used because I've always used that combo with my bestskinsever.

Its probably not better, just what I was more comfortable using.

so the bubbles in the back of my touch are going away now that it's had time to cure for 48 hours, but 2 of the corners still have a significant "sticking up" problem. is this going to pretty much be how it is from now on? and is this an issue with the BG or is it more an issue of user error when I did the application? (in other words, is it cause I didn't do it perfectly/just right when I applied the film?)

So i was curious about your touch. It looks pretty good cured.

Few questions for you...

Would you still not recommend it ?!

The edge looks like it's collecting dust, how is it now?!!

Any bubles/micro bubbles at all ?!!

Can you post some more pictures ?!

Thanks.

Actually, if you read my whole first post you'd see I do

Not terrible, won't be a problem if lined up right.

Nope

Can you post some more pictures ?!

Actually redoing it to get it lined up better, I'll post pictures once that has cured :p

nice, well then, i guess it was human error when the BGs didn't line up correctly as the ones that the Cs sent m were beyond perfect. i think the designer of the BG for the 2nd touch did that.

any good tips on getting the alignment perfect on the back? What I do is put it on on the back then slowly bend the sides to see if it matches up and if it's not, I move it again. Dunno if that is a good idea though.

how easy is it to take these things off? maybe apple will refuse service to a busted iPod under warenty/apple care if it's covered with these?

There not hard. Pretty easy to take off, but not if you don't want to. Apple wouldn't complain, they even take macbook pros that are laser etched, just telling you it might not come back with same lid :p.

If you take it off they wont be able to tell anyways it was on.

As for tips, look my first post, but mostly just line up the bottom as it was in the picture. The Designer obviously knew exactly what to do, but us meer mortals have a hard time.

So allowing this time to cure will inevitably remove all the air bubbles? I've got quite a bit on the front and especially the back: Probably as a result of not using the squeegee as I laid it down. I'm almost tempted to start over, but it's only been about 10 hours since I installed the BG, and I'd hate to waste this.

Woah USPS delivered my 32 gb today even though it says for Sept 20th. I finished putting the bodyguardz on and heres my experience compared to IS.

The bodyguardz is very sticky even with the solution on and it was difficult moving it for alignment. Three small tiny air bubbles are still there along with 2 tiny soap bubbles (fizzy white stuff). I hope those vanish.

Final comments- they are amazing! They are extremely clear and it doesnt have that grainy texture the IS has. Aside from the weird white fizzy bubbles, it would be perfect.

oh sweet jesus, these pictures look amazing. I was going to get an IS, but i didn't like the orange peel texture, but once i saw these pics. I have made up my mind, Bodyguardz it is! :D.

if you're like me and messed up your first skin when you tried to apply it and you have some bubbles in the corners, here's something that I tried that fixed some (but not all) of the bubbles. The idea for this came from philz when he said that he held the bubbles down with his finger for 1/2 hour only to see it start bubbling up after he let go. I was thinking what I could use to hold it down longer. The first idea was to use tape, but I didn't the sticky residue that might be there after I pulled it off. Then it occurred to me to use piece of the first skin to hold the bubbles down. Basically I cut a square off the first skin and taped it over the corner with the bubbles, making sure that it was pretty tight. I cut off the excess once I had it applied (so it wouldn't stick out too much) and proceeded to use it for the new few days normally. I'll admit, it looks a little ghetto and I got a few questions from coworkers if something happened to my iPod touch, but no big deal.

You can tell as soon as you put the skin on which places it will work on. Some places had no bubbles when I put the skin on and other places still had bubbles. No surprisingly, the places where the bubbles were pushed down by the skin looks pretty good after taking the skin off and the places where there were still bubbles still had bubbles afterwards. There were 4 spots that I had bubbles, and it fixed two of them (one of which was along the edge which was a big deal to me cause it had a tendency to catch on things and I was afraid it would pull the skin off slowly over time).

Just be careful when you pull it off. You want to ultimately pull it off from the backside and do it slowly so it doesn't pull the applied skin off. But you will need to pull off/loosen the front first before you do that.

UPDATE: okay, nevermind - seem like it just took a little longer, but the edge that I was talking about is bubbling up again.... guess i'll just live with it for the time being and if it gets bad, then i'll consider getting a replacement and reapplying.

I totally failed. Still many bubbles after 24 hrs. I thought they'd be gone if dried. I wonder if I can peel it off and try again without stretching it.

Replacement service costs $4.95 to process and need to send old one back? And I used google checkout so my info wasn't registered when ordered. I was required to send the receipt by mail to register...

Better not to use google checkout and get rid of all bubbles when it's still wet.

wait a little longer

if you can, wait another 2 days just to be safe. you might be pleasantly surprised. while I'm not very happy with two corners, the back actually turned out okay. i don't really see any bubbles, though there are a few "scratchy" looking parts. if after 2 more days it still looks the same, I think you're probably right that it won't get better.

in terms of the replacement, once they verify your receipt, you can order a replacement, which they will send to you for $5 (processing). after you receive it (and install it), then you send back the old one. the purpose of that is to make you eligible to receive future replacements, so if you only need this one replacement, then you don't need to send your old one back. hope this helps.

That looks soooo great. Thank you. I have decided a BG for my baby now.

Btw, how was the white fizzy bubble now ?!

One of the fizzy bubble is gone but there is micro debris under there. The other fizzy spot on the corner is still there but it definitely shrunk down in size. I hope it vanishes after a few more days.

well, after much deliberating (reading many BG/BSE/IS reviews) i finally placed my order for the BodyGuardz. hope i get a clean install and my iPod doesn't get scratched before it arrives. ;)
btw, not sure how long it lasts, but coupon code: PHONESHOW gets you 10% off.

Thanks for the code, i love you. :D

Sorry if this has already been asked. But do you think that the invisibleSHEILD is better? Or not? Chould you please explain Why?:)

I received my touch 2g back only today. I would prefer a sheet that didn't wrap around the sides quite so much. It almost seems like it is cut too large. I requested a refund. The $5 restocking fee is a bit steep.

To ease the application of all these shields, I fill a bowl with soapy water and dip the skin in the solution. Then I lay the skin on the device and let it settle with a thin layer of the soapy water underneath. I adjust the skin until it is perfectly aligned and then gently squeegee out the excess water. I do this in the bathroom--the most dust free room in my house.

This skin had a matte appearance when pulled from the backing whereas the ones from bestskins and invsibleshield appear clear. Also, this skin felt almost sticky when pulled from the sheet.
