I have a MacPro w/1900XT and Bootcamp works like a charm. 100fps in BF2 all settings maxed, not sure what the problem is with you but it works great for me lol.

Like any other program. You have to get Windows installed first, of course...

It's a problem with the 23" ACD, not just the X1900 XT.

AFAIK it's still an issue, yes. The Boot Camp version is completely irrelevant as the problem prevents you from even installing Windows.

What?! urgh, that blows. I know Bootcamp is beta so I understand issues arise, but Apple is slacking on this front. You'd thing they'd sort something out by now.

Ah well. I guess Ima have to use my other moniter to install windows, lol, gah!!

Another problem

I haven't experienced the install problems you guys are with my 30" display. I am however experiencing various problems with WinXp and games, that I suspect are due to the Cinema display.

A lot of games simply won't start. BF2142 for instance...fifa2007 and so on. Other will...but there's something weird going on with direct x and the cinema display.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

maybe because the issue is with the x1900XT and the 23".. not a 20 or 30 Inch.

As for games not loading, is that using Windows? If so, I've noticed a few games never want(ed) to start first time. GTA was one. God I hated having to wait 20 mins to play a game *shakes fist*

Games not running also MacPro, Radeon1900XT, WinXP

After getting my MacPro Radeon 1900XT and 23" ACD to work with Windoze, I am now having problems running and installing games like "Company of Heroes" Does anyone else have similar problems? I am hoping that my "Counterstrike:Source" will run heheheh. But please assist if you solved your gaming woes!!!!!!!!

Boot Camp and Mac Pro

Well I'm new to the Mac scene after building many PC's for myself, I recently purchesed a Mac Pro, with the ATI 1900 video card, I'm a online gamer so I installed Boot Camp on the Mac hard drive, and then installed a 2nd HD and installed Window XP to it , I have installed my windows base games on the 2nd HD and have had no trouble so far playing them, When I boot the computer I just opt to which Windows XP I want to load are boot into the Mac inviroment, I may just be one of the lucky ones here and I sure hope it continues, because of the price I paid for the new Mac Pro with the 30 " screen, it makes a whole new meaning to the word computing.

Again, this is an issue with the 23" not the 30". I'm also starting to suspect it's nothing at all to do with the X1900 XT either, I only included it in the beginning since I had no idea what the problem was.

success

Well I dunno what happened exactly, but I got my games to start working. My ACD23" never looked better. I installed those WinACD drivers and everything rocks. I also installed the latest Catalyst drivers for the Radeon 1900XT, dunno if that was the problem initially or not, but now my games run in 1900x1200 32bit goodness....NOW if I could only get my outboard Firewire device to play sound through it....and this dang Mighty Mouse doesn't always right click correctly....but whos nit-picking.... Love the SYSTEM!!!!

Having same problems but with a LG LCD 19" + LG 17" CRT - Mac Pro 1900 XT, let's see if I can fix it with what's suggested here (gonna attempt installing with only my CRT plugged).

This issue was fixed for me with the Mac Pro firmware update 1.1

I've now run into another problem though

It was? If so, that's great news, especially if I have to reinstall Windows someday (seems inevitable ;)).

Absolutely fixed. I get the full Windows Setup on the 23" ACD with X1900XT.

Still won't actually INSTALL for me but i'll figure that one out

Hiya,

The Windows (OS) does not have the driver to run the MAc display (I had this problem too) You will have to use a lower quality monitir to install Windows XP then load the Bootcamp CD then you can run the Mac display.

Hope this helps
