Generally the service packs include ALL of the previous updates. So waiting for the next Service Pack (in this case SP3) just means that you are only putting off installing all the updates since SP3 will include them.

Not installing the Optional updates is generally OK, but not installing the Critical security updates is, as the previous poster said, "stupid."

Windows is generally attacked a lot more by "bad" hacker types and virus writers and the security updates will help to stop some of the attacks.

Just my opinion.

Good luck!

A mention of thanks to happyslayer.

Personally I do not know all this knowledge, so I thank you for telling happyslayer. I did though forget about telling about the optional updates and critical ones.:)

Sincerely, I was just trying to help by giving off a little of my limited knowledge about the subject. At least though I believe that the updates slow down the computer.

I'd much rather have a slightly "slower" computer, than one with no security updates on it :|

To be perfectly honest, I must agree with you entirely:D:eek:.

To be frank as well, the person who provides my budget for PC/Mac expenses would absolutely kill me if I said otherwise as well.

Forget everthing I have mentioned earlier as I did not want to cause a large dispute. Forgive me if I have offended anyone.

Built in Isight camera difficulties on XP, used through VMFusion ????

Basically I need drivers to activte my built in ISIGHT camera in my IMAC but on my XP setup via VMFusion. It picks it up as being there but does not have the right drivers to activate the camera. Is there a place to download the specific driver ??????

Any help would be brilliant

Thanks
