I picked up a copy of Borderlands at Target a few weeks ago for $5.99. Going to be hard to justify buying it again for the Mac. Especially when I haven't yet played it.

why do you try to buy mac version when you have already played PC version before? don't buy it. seriously. it aint' beautiful at all. especially, console ported game is getting worst. because you have to port PC version to mac version again. then what's result? it would be so screw up. if you have games already, don't waste your money.

There is a point where it is worth getting again to avoid having to load bootcamp. I really don't want to be bothered and just want a few minutes to play. But I'm not going to spend another $40 to get it on the Mac.

As much as I like Ferals work and want to support them, I cannot see myself spending that much for something I already have. If it was a month ago, I might have considered it.

Very good point. This is a mediocre PC shooter with some trivial RPG-lite stuff. Fun, but no depth at all ... and plainly a console game. Don't pay too much.

Has anyone actually gotten cross-platform multiplayer support to work? We've tried GameRanger and Hamachi to no avail.

We aren't the only ones dealing with this clusterblag

... No company can afford to take a stance that is inarguably much less consumer friendly than the one that is also inarguably dominating Mac gaming right now - Steam. ...

Requiring Steam is not very friendly to consumers who don't have continuous broadband internet access.

Fortunately, you don't need continuous broadband access. It's quite easy to play offline. :)

Works fine here at Feral in fact most of our online gameplay was with PC players (although they never knew we had Macs). You have to make sure that the PC player has 1.41 patch (as as the Mac version) and that they don't have any hosting issues.

If the PC player has 1.41 and is using GameRanger we have had no instances of failure reported.
