So, does it feel like a standard iPhone? Does it creak at all when you squeeze the sides? Are the edges, where it meets the chrome, nice and smooth? The camera hole looks a bit odd, or is that just the picture?
I'm very interested in this ...
It feels just like a normal iPhone. No difference. No cracking or settling or 'cheap' feel. The case is just as solid as the original.
I'm not going to lie, it took me a few tries to get everything back into place exactly where it previously was so it fit together correctly.
But once I did, it was like holding a brand new phone.
2 differences to keep in mind though;
The screens that are usually over the mic and speaker are not included in this kit. Neither is the chrome ring for the headphone jack.
I was able to remove and then glue the chrome ring into the new case. This wasn't an easy task, but once I got it set where I wanted it, I removed the excess and it looks great.
My volume, silent mode, and sleep/wake buttons feel just as responsive and 'springy' as they did before I took it apart.
I had to reset the camera into better position. It was definitely slightly off in the pictures I posted, but it's since been fixed.
Like I said, this isn't an easy project. You can really trash the overall look and feel if you aren't careful, and persistent. But if you take the time, it looks nice, and it's a very rewarding project.
