For what its worth the 2600 had a cinebench score of 16.42 and the 285 had a score of 28.09.

That's not really the whole story either. Only tests OpenGL. The real reason 285 is so wanted is CUDA support/ performance.

My HD5870 gets 35.01 in OS 10.6.8. Apple OpenGL is Slooooow and apparently performance blocked.
And scores 69.14 in Win 7 Pro. Same test.

If you don't need CUDA sell it. You'll get quieter performance and better per watt use with the Radeon 57xx, 58xx series and help out the community by giving someone who needs CUDA support some love as GTX285 for Mac is very hard to find working these day's.

no.

current is 285.something, from October. haven't tried it. i tried updating the drivers over the summer, that's when I discovered the newest ones didn't work and rolled back to 266.58.

If I am running Bootcamp 4.0.1 (429)with Windows 7 and the latest mac GTX Would this be done in Windows? If so I slap my GT120 back in to perform this on the windows side, or do I downgrade this on the Mac bootcamp side?

I really want to get this working as it is a pain to not be able to use Windows without video card swap.

Thanks much for any clarification you can offer.
