I love Lux Touch and I'm looking forward to the deluxe version so I can make sure the developers get paid for their work!
On a side note, a lot of the iPhone apps I have crash a fair amount and I spent some time wondering who is at fault. I've played numerous Lux Touch games to completion and it has never crashed once on me. So I think developers need to start spending some time stabilizing their applications (Last Chatty....cough cough!).

I think a planerarion type game would be amazing, as the game continues even when your not playing,
if we had background notifications you could be alerted when you have incomming etc, failing that ther's always email to notify you, as the game only "ticks" once an hour.
It is a complete life zapper tho, it drained me away for years until i started playing wow, now thats my life zapper!

I would love to see the boardgame "Settlers of Catan" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Settlers_of_catan) ported to the iPhone. Catan has already been ported to java capable mobile phones and a Nintendo DS version is on its way.
Turnbased EndOfGenes
A good turnbased game for the iphone is EndofGenes. It is fairly new, but if you are a fan on Lux Touch or games like X-Com and Fieldrunner than you should enjoy this game.

I'd love to see Shogun: Total War. The turn based game was brilliant! Perhaps minus the RTS part of it..specs probably don't match up.
any total war game. like you say, even it it's without the RTS part and purely the map with city and troop management would be awesome. i'd love to see this on the iphone.
Dude! where have you been!? Diplomacy has been my favourite game since grade 5. I have lost money, time, resources, and a lot of respect to it.
It isn't however available at the App Store yet...
Risk is though though it can't even hold a candle to diplomacy or mail-diplomacy.
