Broken AppStore

Hello all,



Since yesterday, I'm unable to update apps from AppStore.



Update tab shows a weird UI, completely non-functional.


I've tried to flush the different AppStore caches and temp folders. Sign in and sign out of iCloud, AppStore.


It was working fine last time I had to use it, maybe one week ago.


Am I alone?

**MBP early 2011, Sierra... obviously!

My friend had a similar thing after updating to Big Sur. A reboot solved it.

Restarting normally helps with these minor issues. And make sure that you have at last 4GB of storage open on your Mac. Sometimes storage can be the problem.

Restart done several times. Booted my CCC clone and had the same behavior.

You’re on Sierra too? At least, it’s not just me. After the AppStore bug on Mojave, it’s on Sierra now!! I believe it’s something on their side... again!

Yesterday, I had an update for OneDrive, didn’t worked at all (spinning forever). I finally downloaded the installer and updated it this way. Now, AppStore tells me that it’s not installed?

Ok, so Sierra and High Sierra are affected then. At least, with what you said, it kinda works on HS but it’s completely broken in Sierra, on my side at least.

On my Sierra MBP, it didn’t worked yesterday, be it choosing « update all » or the update « button » beside OneDrive...

I got it to work. I installed updates 12.12.1 to 10.12.6 and all the security updates. It looks like a broken ccs (cascade style sheets)

You mean it’s back to normal behavior?

It’s possible to install 10.12.1 over 10.12.6? I don’t want to do a complete clean install and reinstall all my software.

Searching about CSS and AppStore, I stumbled on this (old post about broken AppStore on Mavericks): https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/182453/appstore-formatting-is-broken/182463

Excerpt: I finally figured it out. In Keychain Access, I selected Preferences, then Reset my Default Keychain. After doing that, I restarted AppStore and it was working normally.

I will try this solution, nothing to loose...

No.
But it works if you click the right object.

Ok, I understand. The CSS is broken on their side then.

I'll try to reset the keychain on my CCC clone as a test first.

Keychain reset didn’t worked. I hope they fix it...

All users of old OS’s having the bug should leave a feedback at Apple, only way to be heard.

A lot of threads on the Apple Support forums, eventually someone at Apple will wake up and fix it... I know nothing about website or CSS but I would think it’s not that hard to fix, am I correct?
