NEW IMACS WEEK BEFORE WWDC!!!! Then only MacBook Pros...
NEW IMACS AT WWDC!!!!! No hardware was announced/released at WWDC.
NEW IMACS AT END OF JUNE! Only iPhone came out.
NEW IMACS IN AUGUST!!!!
An update is indeed imminent but there have been too many rumors around hyping a non-existent update to believe any more. Rumors aren't going to make them come faster. Apple might just be waiting for something. Perhaps even a brand new processor that no one else has? (Like they did with the 8-Core Mac Pro)[/QUOTE]

I pretty much am conviced that they will be updateing the iMac. They updated they just redid the macbook pro which was just redone last year the iMac is obviously next in line as far as I am concerned.:apple:

You have a good point there. My plan is to if they don't update it or give us a good proof that by mid July I'm just going w/ the MBP or the 24" iMac...

Personally I don't know any event in August (MacWorld is in Sept. right?) so how are they going to update it in August?

I'm not convinced they need an event per se. It would seem important to get it out before the colleges go into session to pick up that crowd. I've been waiting patiently for a while myself. :apple::apple:

I think if the best time to release these rumored new aluminum and sexy as all hell iMacs will be either:

July 17 (wishful thinking)
July 24 (more likely)
July 31 (even more likely) or
August 7 (most likely)

to capitalize on the recent press of the iPhone. Another hot product with significant eye candy appeal, which the iMac would be in silver over white would be a great way to follow the release of the iPhone. My bet is that they are already ready to go and the only thing holding them is they want the best timing. Too soon steals the iPhone's thunder, and too late doesn't cash in on the iPhone success. So Like I said last week of July or early August is my bet. And I'm ready and waiting to order that day.
