The only problem I had with returning the whole thing was the power cable, I’d have had to move the TV and the cabinet to get it out again. So I just gave them an old power cable from an Apple TV HD instead.Yeah s***w that. Go into the Apple Store. Buy the new remote (they should have stock today). Take it out of the package IN THE STORE. If it isn't straight, ask for another one. Repeat until you do. Then, return the other remote in that separate packaging within 14 days for your refund.
Edit: And, yes, I'm usually a proponent for not needlessly costing Apple money. BUT - this QA is completely unacceptable!!!
