Keep what you have and see if the new iPhone 15 Pro is what you want/need, then decide. Chances are if you do still prefer the outgoing model then carriers and this third parties will have plenty of deals to move the old stock.

We’re still 5 months off release so basically half cycle and unless you get lucky and order on the day you may end up waiting a couple of months longer anyway, I’d say it’s early enough to still get a 14 pro but even if it was approaching September right now I would buy the 14 pro max with that massive discount. It’s going to be a huge jump from the xs max.

if your existing phone is doing good you can wait for 4 months and see what is in store for 15 pro max. If you think the features are worthy an upgrade you can get 15 pro, if not you can get 14 pro at that point of time with much discounted prices . Point here is your phone is doing good and just 4 months away from new phone launch

Definitely 14PM imo

15PM will probably have a price hike also and it’s almost half a year away. It’s still not at all a bad time to buy the latest. I’d say a month or two before it’s better to wait if you are paying full price

i was in same boat like the OP, and gone through with all of your replies, i am using 7 plus and xs max since they launched, now 7 plus battery health is at 78% so thought to retire it and get the iphone 14 pro max, was confused to wit for 15 pro max or not, there is no discount in India, its at the same price as they launched. Here iPhone 14 pro Max 256GB Purple cost 1835.08 USD. my thought changed by the post made by MyPhone99. i can wait till 4 months for the 15 Pro Max, and then 14 pro max price will go down here then i will buy any of them.
Thanks

Great price for the 256 GB 14 Pro Max. 15 Pro Max will most probably be costlier and will be having a better zoom. Might be good to get the 14 Pro Max at that price.
