Seems the letters have no rhyme or reason as it's not initials.

I said as well as others when you was looking to switch that if your unsure you should stay with iOS. If you don’t want to have tons of features and don’t plan on using any then stick to iphones.

I made the switch as I was bored to tears with iPhones and I know what I was getting into and I use tons of the features because that was what I wanted.

I suggest you just go get an 8 plus as I’ve read a lot of doubts with you about your note 8 and how you prefer Apple.

Yup, not sure I can get use to the Note 8.
The Apple I'm used to but it's boring as ever and the watch is boring as ever also.

I like my Note 8 alot and I was getting really bored with my iPhone and Apple Watch but the switch does require some research and a lot of exploration/tinkering around with settings and sub-settings. It can be frustrating at times but also fun and interesting at other times. I do enjoy being able to change the look of my homescreens and launcher, AOD, default apps, etc. The switch is not a good idea for everyone; if you don’t like change or having to adapt to new ways of doing things on your devices, it probably isn’t for you. I have relatives and friends that I would definitely try to strongly dissuade if they even mentioned trying to move away from iOS bc it would be a disaster for them.

My biggest concern is if something goes wrong with my phone in the next year and I am unable to get proper repairs/servicing through Samsung or ATT. That would be definitive for me in terms of moving back to Apple or staying with Android as I am accustomed to mostly positive Apple service on my devices through Apple Care and the Apple store over many years. In that case, I would move back to Apple if/when they offer a phone that interests me. Otherwise it’s been a great switch and I’m glad I stepped outside the walled garden and learned to use a different mobile OS. It has not been the struggle I had envisioned, at least for me.
