I wouldn't wait this far in advance -- new iPad Pro is rumored not to appear until the Fall. You can find $100 - $200 discount sales pretty regularly now on (check 9to5toys.com everyday), which makes me jealous as I paid full-price for my 2021 12.9" on launch day. It's worth it for the current M1, mini-LED model. And going from 11" to 12.9" is whole new experience IMO.

I was in dire need of an upgrade when I got the M1 iPad Pro. I knew they would go on sale eventually but for me, the 5-6 months of use was well worth the extra $150-200 spent.

I was in a similar situation as I had sold my previous 12.9 and tried to only use my 10.5. (didn't work -- too small for me).
Yeah, I said I'm "jealous", but only in a playful way. I too, appreciate the extra months with this beautiful device!

M1 vs M2 is likely a small thing when the iPad Pro already blows most tasks out of the water. OLED would maybe be a reason to wait, but a recent rumour now suggests that won’t be until 2024.

So, if you want a 12.9 Pro I think now is as good a time as any (and so I bought one, as per my post up-thread)
