I have access I just need all the money first. Some people still didn't pay me so I didn't have all of it. I have a debit card, but my bank account doesn't have enough in it

Can't you go to Walmart and buy the Nexus 7?

They take debit cards !

Welp I'm half way there. I got myself a Nexus 7 16GB. Im waiting for my pickup text from Walmart so I can go pick it up!

Just got to get paid the rest so I can get my Nexus 4*!

*when they're in stock that is.
You realize, of course, that there will be a brief moment when the Nexus 4 is back in stock, and it will be while you are getting the 7. ;-)

Enjoy! Also, be aware that the 4.2 update is a rolling one, and your new device might or might not get it immediately. Yes, you can force it, but, having done so today, it's not really worth the effort - it'll come within days anyway. :)

I don't know how they decide to issue it, but mine hadn't arrived by this afternoon, despite my best attempts to force it, so I downloaded it manually.

Yeah I don't know either. Maybe it has to do with the size of their data centers and how it can handle the volume of a given region. More and more companies are doing this including Microsoft because in the past their servers were crushed and with everyone trying to hit it all at the same time.

My XBOX 360 took 1.5 days to receive the latest update.

Didn't Motorola get lucky with staggered updates when an unexpected issue was bricking some phones a few years ago? Sometimes these delayed updates can be a good thing.

I almost always side load or use a custom recovery when available to update early. I just can't resist. :D

Got the update as soon as I turned it on!

Size is perfect and the screen is awesome. Plus I finally got to use Android Beam with my phone... amazing! Loving this thing!

I personally would ignore the Nexus 7 and get the 4 and 10. According to my quick calculations, the Nexus 7 is just under 2.3 times the screen area of the Nexus 4, which is not a very big difference, and would not be enough to make me go get my 7 if I only had my 4 next to me. The Nexus 10, however, is roughly 4.75 times the Nexus 4 screen area, which is enough to make you want to use it instead if it's available. Also, the 4 and 10 are both new releases, so are more up to date than the ageing 7.

If one is looking for portability then the N7 is still the way to go and the hardware is still good enough. I'm getting into the more portable smaller size tabs. That's just me.

My HP TouchPad was too big to carry with my. I just kept it at home on a dock and it barely saw use. The Nexus 7 however is very portable. Even next to my Galaxy Note (which is now sold...) it was a big enough difference to justify having both.

That is a great thing about the Nexus 7 for me. It actually leaves the house with me. Our iPad2 rarely goes out anywhere due to it's size.

Ditto.

The various sizes have their various uses, and the larger tablets, as amazing as they are, aren't nearly as portable.

It's a huge difference once you have them in hand IMO. I bought a Note 2 with the 5.5" screen and used it for a week and found it too small, I didn't think going to the Nexus 7 would be a big deal but after buying it I'm sold, it's the perfect size and to be able to throw it in your pocket is very very powerful.

Portability rules, always :)

I like having a tablet that I can carry around in one hand. The larger form is better for staying at home and using in bed or while on the couch.

Well after some time with the device I have a little review.

What I love about it:

The 16:9 ratio. It makes it fit into my jeans pocket and carry with me easily.

The semi-large bezel. Never thought I would ever like them, but wow does it make holding it easier.

Tegra 3. I have have never seen such speed in a portable device. The only time I lagged was when I switched from Shadowgun to an email and back. This thing flies!

Pure Google is crazy. While I have experience with AOSP ROMs for non Nexus phones, being able to boot up with no problems and not having apps crash is amazing. I will try my hardest to never buy a non Nexus device again.

NFC! I have my Galaxy Note which has NFC but I never got to use it because no other device that I have access to has it! It was fun to beam a few videos across, though I cant see myself using it much yet

Feels great in the hand. I can grasp it perfectly and even type one handed, though I have big hands. The rubberized back is subtle but very nice. Feels wonderful and durable.

13hours with 3+ hours of on screen time and I still have 50% battery left. That's from heavy and light usage throughout the day.

GPS! Perfect tool for commuting.

What I didn't like:

The USB port is upside down compared to other Android devices

No camera app never mind! Thanks inhalewaste!

The 4.2 notification drawers are slightly confusing as they come down on different sides of the screen.

Because the buttons are on a rounded edge when I put it in my pocket with the screen turned toward me they click and turn the screen on. Its easily fixed by turning the tablet around though

And that's it. Because it was only $200 I don't need to baby it. Its cheap enough that I don't feel bad if It breaks. But it doesnt feel cheap. Its weird and you really have to own one to know what I mean. $200 for this thing was the best purchase I've made in the last 3 years (besides my first Hackintosh  )

I'm still waiting for my backordered N4 and can't wait to pair it with the N7. I just picked up a Speck FitFolio in black today at my local Office Max and it still feels super slim and can fit in my back pocket. Love this case because it has the magnet sleep/wake function.

Personally not a fan of the N10. Hate tablets that are designed to look to be used in landscape mostly (from the back design)...does that make sense

How much did you pay for the FitFolio?
