Buying advice for new MacBook Air.

I know this question has been asked a lot but since I will soon buy my first Mac ever I need to ask. I am a music producer and my i7 4790k with 8 gigs of DDR3 slow ram that I have on my PC right now have served me well throught the years and I never made a project that my PC has struggled with. I am really interested in the new M1 MacBook Air but since it's 2021 I got sceptical about it's 8 gigs of ram. After seeing some videos on YouTube I am leaning toward the 8 gigs version... I am here just asking one last time before I buy. Do you guys think I should get the 8 gigs version or 16? Thank you!!

the gas tank size is the most important aspect for me now rather than anything else

Given your profession, I would go with 16GB of RAM.

8Gb would be fine for you unless you HAVE to have 16GB of ram. Daily tasks would handle well with 8GB
