I have a feeling that Apple would make it easy for people already with 2-year contracts to buy the iPhone.

That would make the most sense and that is what I'm hoping for since my upgrade isn't until Oct. However, most people here are assuming that if you already have a cingular contract you are screwed. That would definitely be a lot of lost sales for cingular and apple if they decided to do that. Considering how much they boast that Cingular (newATT) is the largest wireless provider or whatever. But again, none of us really know.
 
Regardless of the price, I am buying one as soon as I can find it.

They told me at the Apple store that they could sign me up on this list that would "reserve" one for me when they came out. I got that one email about iPhone a couple weeks back, but I just find it hard to believe that I actually have one truly reserved.

Was anybody else told this? I think I'm going to start a new thread to see...
