Plenty of people have reported issues with their Mac mini beachballing for no apparent reason, even when virtually new. I've seen it myself on my father-in-law's 2007 model. Maybe it's no longer a problem with the 2009 minis, but it certainly happens with some older ones, so perhaps SL will fix it for them.What freezing issues are you speaking of? Like I said, it happens on *some* older machines, not all of them. It's possible that those that have the standard minimum RAM are more prone to it, though.My parents have never complained about beachballing and I've never witnessed it on their 2007 mini

If I were you, buy your Mini now and just stick with Leopard.
Snow Leopard only brings a few tweaks, and a special UI that we don't know anything about called Marble.
